My VW sacrificed itself to save me/daughter yesterday

Having gone thru that before and knowing you have existing injuries, you know what to do. GET A LAWYER. Yes it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. But you have to look after not only your best interests, but god forbid if your daughter materializes problems down the road too.

    Pre-owned 2021 Highlander

I'd have to wonder about a 2020 with 4 previous owners myself. While some have commented that it's not unusual, I'd say it's certainly not the norm. Without a doubt I'd be willing to bet if you sampled used 2020's on a car lot, MOST of them would have less than 4 previous owners. If I really...

Most reliable old man car: Grand Marquis or Buick Lucerne?

I replaced my intake twice in 80k on my GM. It's something that never happened on either mine or my dad's 3800's. Ford did not have a brighter idea with that design, that's for sure.

Most reliable old man car: Grand Marquis or Buick Lucerne?

I love this website. Really good info on a lot of cars. Here is their list of the best vehicles. Of course, not everyone's favorite car is on the list, but it seems pretty comprehensive. The oldest vehicle on the list goes back to 1999 https://www.carcomplaints.com/best_vehicles/

Most reliable old man car: Grand Marquis or Buick Lucerne?

I guess a study of 30 million cars isn't enough of a sample? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: How can a Big Mac be better than a plain old cheeseburger?? They are built on the same assembly line:unsure:

Most reliable old man car: Grand Marquis or Buick Lucerne?

Dude, seriously......with just the slightest research on that same iSeeCars website you can easily find this report from 2013 https://www.iseecars.com/longest-lasting-cars-study#v=2013 "The vehicles analyzed for this study were 30 million used cars listed on iSeeCars.com during Jan. 1, 2013...

Most reliable old man car: Grand Marquis or Buick Lucerne?

Having owned a 3800 Buick Lesabre, a Grand Marquis, and a Toyota Avalon, I think I'm in a better position than most to comment on some of these posts. First to address a few posts suggesting the Avalon is not in the same league as a 3800 or Panther I give you this link...

    Mini projector LED bulbs...

After a lot of research, I just installed GTR CSP Mini's in my 2001 Blazer, replacing the halogens. Really, I am amazed at these lights, they are just what I wanted. They works very well with my reflector headlights. It's a white light and visibility is greatly increased. They have a decent...

2025 Toyota Camry - All Hybrid

No doubt a lot of people want safety features in their cars. If you want that, you should be able to but that. More power to you. I am all for people being able to but whatever they want, and whatever they can afford without interference. On the other hand, there are probably just as many poor...

2025 Toyota Camry - All Hybrid

The entire car market is moving UP in price mostly due to the government setting stricter and stricter gas mileage and safety regulations. Not only are we paying for this at the new car level, but during ownership also. Just as an example,, a minor front end fender bender nowadays requires your...

Quick Thoughts: 2023 Subaru Outback 2.5 Limited

Spot on! I can't wait to replace my V6 Avalon with 268 HP, smooth ride, and rock solid reliability with a Subaru that's accelerates like molasses, is kind of noisy, and has a slush box trans. On the positive side, I'll look stylish with Birkenstock sandals while driving it, as long as the...

    Vehicle Buying Power...

What has changed is there hasn't been any small econo trucks for sale new for quite a few years. The manufacturers went to big ticket high profit trucks partly because small trucks were not selling. Now things are changing and small econo trucks are getting popular again. On another note, I...

    Toyota Recalls Highlanders

That's your opinion. I obviously like those bumpers LOL. And for the many people who didn't have THOUSANDS of dollars damage due to a small accident, those people liked them too. As for the bumpers protecting the passengers at the expense of the car, that's just another way to say they don't do...

    Toyota Recalls Highlanders

The last good bumper I had on a car or truck was on my 1986 LeSabre. That's when the STEEL bumpers had cylinders backing them up and they gave a bit. I still recall rear ending another car pretty hard and the corner of the bumper folding down. I drove it to work, hung the front of the car up a...

    Post your last tire/wheel purchase

I have the LE2's on my 2001 Blazer. I like the dry, wet and snow traction. It's fairly quiet also. It does almost everything well but I am not happy with the wear. I am around 40k with this tire and maybe I can stretch it out to 50k. I was expecting 70k......that said, I'll probably replace with...

    Hybrid vs Gas

Tough call on this. No doubt you are going to save on gas and maintenance on the hybrid long term. However that cable issue would deter me. It's very costly to replace on your own, and there will come a time when Toyota will not cover the cost. Just as a common sense issue, have a power cable...
