HPL no VII pcmo 5w30. 3.5k miles. Big turbo Fiesta ST 175k miles

This. The wear is very low for a modified engine in spite of the fuel. Keep on trucking. David

    2018 tuned/tracked Golf Sportwagen 100K/4K OCI HPL Euro 5W40 - uh-oh.....

I’m only saying the scale on your wear trends chart is too sensitive at 10 ppm which makes a small change look like a big one. Even with dirt in your intake these are good numbers. With a difference of roughly 15 ppm in iron, to put it in perspective. Walk 15 miles on a million mile walk. It...

    2018 tuned/tracked Golf Sportwagen 100K/4K OCI HPL Euro 5W40 - uh-oh.....

It is always good to verify the data when you see something that does not make sense. Good suggestion Rdy4war. The elevated dirt confirms what you would expect to see. If you see iron and aluminum raised together, common sense, would say dirt between the two generates that wear. I would also...

    2021 4Runner Venture | 5W-30 HPL EURO NO VII | 7,000 miles on oil & 20,000 on truck

The oxidation flag is due to the lab not knowing the starting point of the oil. Without the lab having a new reference they would not know there is POE in the oil. Run it to 10,000. David

Under valve cover & sump pictures - 2014 Dodge Durango 174,000 miles total, 34,000 miles on HPL HDEO 5w-20

Wayne. I just want to say thank you for all the effort and detail on this project. To go this distance on an engine without any meaningful consumption is one of the hardest things for the oil to pull off as you never have a chance to sweeten the oil in the sump. Your results are great and...

    Can Shearing be Beneficial?

Using a VII such as a 35SSI material will shear down over time and when the oil thickens which is what oils do, you will end up back where you started. You are not going to see much if any difference on the cold side. You will see the difference show up at 100C which is where you are relying on...

    High Performance Lubricants PCMO Series

In this case depending on your climate, I would recommend our cold climate 5w40. Generators don’t get the luxury of running on warm oil on startup. This is what I do with our own generators. It is a CK-4 oil dual rated for gasoline. The car fill receive the benefit of the oil for the generator...

HPL Engine Cleaner 30 (My impressions after use).

If you intend to run the EC30 at a 1 quart to 5 quarts of oil. Not stronger. The EC30 does utilize a combination diesel/gasoline ad pack which will have higher detergent/dispersant concentration over a commodity on the shelf PCMO. And yes the EC30 is a straight 30 in the sense that it...

HPL Engine Cleaner 30 (My impressions after use).

Just getting in after night one at the World Finals for the World of Outlaws. Last race week of the season. The EC 30 when used at the correct ratio leaves the ester concentration in a safe range to be used all the time. It will also help maintain pliability of the elastomers. That being said...

    HPL Oil Concerns

Actually we do have a lot of engine tear down experience with our presence throughout the racing world. We have seen engine life double and in some cases triple over prior products. Is it fair to say you would see the same thing in passenger car engines? No. Racing engines especially very...

    22 Mazda 3 2.5T HPL PCEO 5w-30 8,000 miles

If you read the post above correctly you will see that this is not what happened. Further, this is not an obsolete formula. We still produce it today. Further as the analysis shows it s a pretty good one which is why we still make it. I'm not sure where you are headed but hopefully this...

HPL oil choice for a 600hp V8 TT?

All, after researching the orders, there were 2 orders placed one with us at advlubrication.com on our webstore and yet another on our distributor’s site hploil.com. Both orders were filled and shipped correctly. The OP does have the oil he needs and there is zero concerns about running the...

HPL oil choice for a 600hp V8 TT?

The oils we make for HPL in Hebron IN are similar but not the same as the offerings here on BITOG. They cater to the power adder market and their products are essentially streetable racing oils. David

    22 Mazda 3 2.5T HPL PCEO 5w-30 8,000 miles

The analysis above lines up with a prior version of fleet oil. It is a SL/CI4Plus combination oil. I believe 2015Corolla was one of our first costumers from BITOG behind RDY4WAR. I believe the current PCMO will be up next. WWilson ran this oil initially and migrated to the current oil when we...

2022 Corolla Cross HPL PP 0W-8 30k mi OCI

I can't speak for other oils but in viewing a lot of sample data on an off road fleet of ours, I do not typically see wear rates going up until the silicon gets into the 70's or 80's. The wear rates being so low I don't believe the silicon level is hurting anything here. David

2022 Corolla Cross HPL PP 0W-8 30k mi OCI

Actually we use wearcheck. We do this for 2 reasons. One to eliminate the question of bias and two, we do not like to run used oils in our lab equipment. We have much slower and more precise equipment as compared to a used oil lab. Very low wear rates here. Nice sample. Murray, you are on the...
