    Microns. What's most damage inducing?

From a 28 million dollar engine wear study "Abrasive engine wear can be substantially reduced with an increase in filter SPE(MP). Compared to a 40 micron filter, engine wear was reduced by 50% with 30 micron filtration." (98% point) "Likewise, wear was reduced by 70% with 15 micron filtration."...

    Switching Oil filters at Walmart

Metal, How can that be if you "don't allow any Orange cans of delight anywhere near your engines" Really? Every time I come on this forum I really enjoy the serious and humorously misguided.

    Switching Oil filters at Walmart

This is an ongoing problem in Walmart and other retail stores with people switching out low cost products for premium products, Happens to FRAM, Bosch, K+N quite a bit. We are working on solutions to the problem but as I have pointed out to my handlers, many buyers want to remove the filter from...

    Another "best" oil filter

Mike, Did the engine builder block off the filter bypass in the engine block? If so, do not make mistake of using any oil filter that does not have a bypass built into the filter can. You risk collapsing the filter as it fills with break in material. All Standard GM filters from ANY filter...

Wife got a brand new Fit...got oil ???s

While the Honda filter is made by FRAM, it is slightly different than the orange can as I have stated in this forum many times. More pleats, lower efficiency, higher capacity are the major differences.

Would you run a fram ultra for two changes?

i love what your saying, stick to the facts. At FRAM we spent $$$$$$$$$ dollars testing for the 20k claim, our lawyers made us do it. So a years worth of engineering research proving it can easily go 20k based on facts and ISO testing. I FEEL like that was the right thing to do.
