I service a lot of vehicles & equipment, when my buddy bought a kubota hydrostatic tractor I went on the forums to find a suitable hydrostatic oil.
Kubota owners are adamant about using their Super UDT ONLY in their transmissions. Many have said they tried other cheaper brands only to drain it...
I have found that many calipers reman or new have only enough lubricant (if any) for assembly. I pull the boot back and add additional lubricant to prevent premature sticking.
Never had one fail that I gave additional love!!

I retrofitted the NV4500 into my Dodge in 1999 to replace the failed Getrag. . I purchased it thru Advance Adaptors.
I’m aware of the necessity to use the proper oil. Red line doesn’t show the MTL 70w80 because it’s several years old.
Was hoping I could use it. I would not use anything not...
I have 1990 Dodge W350 with an NV4500 manual transmission that requires redline MT 85 oil or equivalent.
I have several quasars of redline MTL 70w80 GL-4 gear oil which is slightly lighter.
Are they interchangeable?
This is not a work truck. It is driven only for pleasure.
I’ve used moly 5% or less for approximately 30 years in my 1990 dodge w250 4x4 diesel.
This vehicle has been loaded far beyond its legal capacity and the rear driveshaft unjoints have never been replaced and currently have 250k + miles on them.
In an application that is always loaded the...

I have always checked the oil & fluid levels in my vehicles, I would pull the dipstick and feel the oil between my fingers until I bought a 2016 Volvo XC60 with the 300hp 2.0 liter engine.
I was disgusted when I found out it had no dip stick and there was a wait period after shutting it down to...
I built a log splitter over 35 years ago with 22 gpm pump that has been flawless.
It has split many hundreds of cords for myself and family members. It has been well maintained with fluid and filter changes which is approx 10~15 gallons.
I have a Ford 1720 tractor and also service and repair...
I have a 61" Scag with a CV22S 22 hp command engine which had 3000 hours on it was very tired but ran ok. I rebuilt it and it runs like new.
It is doubtful yours has as many hours as mine so are-ring and reseal job along with a valve grind should take care of your problems.
I shut my house downforce the winter, drained the pipes & turned the heat off. Everything turned off or unplugged except my security system, router & backup battery/inverter.
Daily consumption is 0.2kw per my SolarCity app.

After towing my trailer 10822 miles from Massachusetts to Texas then up to clements California and back to Texas at sustained speeds of 75 ~ 80 mph for hours st a time I can report that the little 300 hp 2.0 liter engine did a fantastic job.

My 2016 XC60 has the B4204T9 302 HP engine (twin charged) and specifically requests a5/b5 0w30.
It is currently under warranty and serviced by Volvo every 10k free.
I'm interested in hearing what the forum had to say on this issue.

(If the seats are worn, you can't get get a proper seat width using grinding paste..Waste of time)
That's why you would perform a quick lapping, using compound or blue dye.
Apply to dye or compound to valve then touch valve to seat. Push a short length of fuel line over valve stem and turn...
If it was me I'd inspect the seats first to confirm they need to be cut.
It's quite possible everything will be fine using new valves and lapping them in. After lapping if you don't see a nice even seat then I would look for a (GOOD) shop!
Valve seats today are stelite or powdered metal which...
I'm also getting twichie!
Trailered my BMW GS along with the wife, 2 dogs & stuff to Texas then California from Massachusetts to spend the winter and the weathers not cooperated.
Bikes still in trailer nice & dry calling me out to talk now & then.
Just had severe weather blow thru the area...
Thanks for the response.
I searched the forum earlier for batteries with no luck.
It's very hard to find a particular thread when it's bundled in with others.
Can the various systems such as brakes, electrical & batteries be categorized??
