Fram or Purolator for the KIa

I know that they were having problems on the 2.4 engine. If I recall correctly there was a problem getting adequate flow through the after market filters. Hyundai issued a TSB stating that only OEM should be used. Fram re-designed the filter to accomodate the higher flow rates and pressures...

Fram or Purolator for the KIa

I recommend OEM Hyundai/Kia filters. That being said Fram did re-design the 9688 a few years ago to accomadate some of the problems Kia engines were having with non OEM filters.

    Preferred Hot Tub Brands

Also be certain to get one deep enough to easily do your neck and shoulders. Also get one that is highly insulated. Be sure to sit in one and try it out. We found a couple models to be uncomfortable for us.

    Water heater advice

The Marathon uses a 4,500 watt element. So about 15K btu. It takes a while. If you go that route get the 85 gallon unit so that you have plenty of reserve. I don't know what your incoming water temp is but I imagine it is pretty cold in the winter so I recommend the large unit.

Possibly getting rid of the CX-50

Wow! Really sad to hear that. Lots of problems for a low mileage car. I would dump it.

    Anyone here scrap metals?

Having been in the plumbing business I have scrapped a lot of old copper and brass. It was very lucrative. I remember taking in a few barrels one time. Made enough to take the family on a very nice one week vacation to the Outer Banks of NC.

What are you eating right now?

Another boring bowl of bran with a few blueberries. Would love to have a slice of good pizza but that would not be good this time of day. Looking forward to breakfast. Mrs. Jay made an egg casserole with cheese and sausage.

    Water heater advice

This is what I have in my house. Ours is electric. It is tied into my geothermal system which produces the hot water.
