This thing right here. Super comfy and efficient enough. 28MPG on the 2hr drive home after purchase. I like it so much I'm about to to buy another one just like it.

    Boutique Oil - Low Miles...Longevity?

I used to think it's 2-3 years max. Then around 2014-2017 time period someone from the Pennzoil officials/insiders/team threw a "5-7 years" number as being safe, and mildly backed it up, but now I can't find that info anymore. Particular discussion was about 5.7L/6.1L HEMIs that sit around a...

No Oil Change in 25k miles

If I was in the same boat, I would've went with option C. Quick overnight soak with diesel to the brim, drain next day and do 100 miles with cheapest oil+filter, and then replace with Mobil for a normal OCI. These steps would actually clean the engine. For those who are worried - It's very easy...

    Lets see the cars!!!!

2009 Honda Pilot. Just turned 221k. The most reliable vehicle I ever owned. Gave it a wash, it deserved it after all this icy "snow" mess in NC.

    Lets see the cars!!!!

How close to stock is this? I'm assuming pretty close. Yet it's giving off HARD bosozuku vibes, but in a good way. Also reminds me of the Infiniti M30, which I never see on the road anymore. I think last one I saw was around 2012...

    Lets see the cars!!!!

New to us 2004 Toyota Avalon. Wife is tired of 17/21MPG SUV, so getting her back into a 24/29MPG sedan. She isn't a car person at all, but has been talking about an Avalon a lot lately. Did look at newer generation, (same as 2010 Avalon we owned previously) but all (local ones <$10k) had nasty &...

    From Toyota to Stellantis.

From Toyota to Stellantis...and back to Toyota...or actually Honda. I keep a pair of socks longer than I can keep a vehicle lol. While scrolling through marketplace I found this Avalon. Lemme tell you, looks even better in person. It's LITERALLY like-new, despite being 21 years old and having...

    Favorite 15w-40

    - DELO and AMALIE seem to fly under the radar, but both are great sleeper oils. - Rotella is average, but praised above average for some reason. - DELVAC is my favorite and what I run now in every car. - SuperTech (cheapest option) is another great sleeper oil, especially with the recent...

    From Toyota to Stellantis.

As far as unexpected repairs - so far it's on par with used and neglected Toyota/Lexus/Honda vehicles that I'm used to owning over the past decade. These ignition coils had over 165k miles on them, so not surprising that they failed. And cheap Amazon replacements likely were counterfeit since...

    From Toyota to Stellantis.

Misfire came back. Ordered cheapest ignition coils from Amazon. 1 died in 3 days. Another died in two weeks. Amazon sent me replacements, and so far so good... Did find like-new Enkei 18" wheels with brand new winter Blizzaks on them. Came off of a Alfa Romeo Guilia. Due to unpopular (and same...

    OCI Obsession and loving it!

I like changing oil. After a few thousand miles on a fill my engines start having "just a hair" more valve train noise, especially noticeable on hot idle. A fresh fill takes care of that nicely for another few thousand miles. With my climate, usage patterns, and OCI length and HDEO 15W-40/5W-40...

Recommendation, one oil for the garage

800k is pretty low for a SEMI, so that gear oil must've wiped the bearings. He should've used Mobil 2 with MMO and a splash of Seafoam every 1234.56 miles.

Recommendation, one oil for the garage

Every single HDEO I used is dual rated, mostly pre-API SP, which still meets requirements of every vehicle I put it into. Temps in my climate allow for 15W-40, so why is it wrong if it meets the temp requirements and required API specifications? I have yet to see a sludged engine after 3k OCIs...

Recommendation, one oil for the garage

SuperTech, or Kirkland, or Prime, or Mobil 1300, etc... Any of these in 15W-40 served me well in every engine I put it in. I'm a strong believer that more frequent oil changes (3k-5k miles depending on engine in question) with cheapest HDEO is still better for the engine than extended OCIs...

Would you take the risk on this low mileage 2.4L? It's like new... I think @Nick1994 would 😎
