    New CVT oil ??

Did you follow the service manual and TSBs related to the transmission service? There are often resets / learning procedures to go through as part of the service. I did these and had no issue with any of the four aftermarket CVTF that I've tried so far. I also updated the TCU but that was after...

    New CVT oil ??

The crux of the issue with Subaru (and other mfgs) is that they often sell non-compatible, non-spec fluids which is counter the the aftermarket lubrication mfgs who sell compatible, in-spec fluids. For instance, I should not use Nissan NS-2 fluid in a Subaru HT-CVT application but Valvoline...

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

Dex6 is not actually thinner, this is a long repeated misunderstanding. Dex3 is a discontinued, old-tech spec and provides a fluid with low performance and durability. Dex6 corrects most of the shortcomings and while the fluid is thinner out of the bottle, it's actually thicker in application...

Toyota Camry 2011 LE P/S fluid type?

At the very least I would probably skip Dex3 and use Dex6 (superior in all aspects) or compatible fluid.

    New CVT oil ??

I would check for any TSBs that are related to your car / tranny. In my case there was a few firmware updates for the TCU (transmission ECM) that will likely save the CVT from early failure but only Nissan has access to those details. A CVT (or AT) can be easily be adjusted, fixed or destroyed...

    New CVT oil ??

Sounds like you did a good job, congrats. When I did mine (Nissan) I added an extra five magnets or so. It's due for a cleaning & inspection. Very happy with my first year of Amsoil CVT fluid!

Used the wrong oil in Hydro Gear ZT3100 Transaxles!

I'd put it through a coffee filter and reuse it. I would dilute it down to 20-50% with new, fresh oil of the same type.

Put HM 0w20 in power steering system

It's more likely that the power steering system used some yellow metal or components that responded to the friction modifiers which are found in most ATFs. This is one reason why Type-F is specified.

Valvoline R&P Oil Burner Test Results

There's at least one more video to this series, maybe two. It looks to me like the problem might have been the valve stem seals not installed properly? The original problem was likely a combination of stuck rings and leaking valve stem seals.

Ford 10R60 - HPL ATF vs OEM ULV

The colour does not matter, it's YOUR transmission, do what you will. What is more important to you (the user/owner), the hardware (transmission/vehicle) or the warranty?

Valvoline R&P Oil Burner Test Results

Valvoline does not recommend VRP for extended drain intervals. The directions say to follow the MFG recommended drain interval for a minimum of four, consecutive, OCI to achieve the cleaning affect. If you want to try extended OCI with VRP I would recommend doing a standard used oil analysis.

Costco 4/9-5/4 Kirkland Signature Oil deal

Yes, and it's quite likely the 0w20 is a better quality product. In the past you would often pay extra for a 0w.

Valvoline R&P vs Pennzoil Ultra Platinum

I would be really interested to see if Amsoil SS, or any other readily available oil, can clean up the piston ring pack. As of today, SS is a little bit cheaper than VRP for my area.

Ford 10R60 - HPL ATF vs OEM ULV
