    Aging Spare Tire

I’m 57. In all my years driving I’ve used a spare tire once. It was on my 98 Yukon about twenty years ago. I’m a freak about keeping the tires on our cars in good condition. I also keep a plug kit and a bicycle pump in my Suburban at all times. I’ve installed a plug here or there. The...

    Safety glasses with Eye Glasses

Like mentioned above, I also use RX Safety. For years I’ve been wearing Wiley X Bricks. I have clear and sunglasses. They do double duty as my mountain biking glasses.

    Snap On Hard Handle Conversion

Yeah. I was huge into orange. The speciality ratchets only came red or black back then.

New to me 2021 Chevy Traverse

Tell ya what, The brakes on this thing are insane. A tap on the pedal almost puts you through the windshield. Not exactly conducive with the way my wife drives. Last year, we're coming home from a funeral. She's driving, her father is in the front passenger seat and my son and I were in the...

New to me 2021 Chevy Traverse

So this was fun... We're going to Florida again in the Traverse. My wife swears the brakes squealed so she wanted me to look at them. I looked through the wheels and could see the pads on the rear are perfect. Can't see the front pads so I went and got Autozone Premiums or whatever their best...

    Snap On Hard Handle Conversion

I did exactly that same thing on the same ratchet years ago because it didn't come with an orange hard handle like every other ratchet I own. Funny. I also have the prybar warning on mine. A few years ago, I was using the ratchet and thought to myself why would that say that on a ratchet...

Would a PCV catch can be worthwhile?

I put one on my 09 Suburban after smoking out a parking lot once. It was weird. Never happened before. I installed the Moroso can and it's been fine ever since. I drain out a little bit every oil change.

    Ever eat possum?

It was so long ago I don't remember but we used to do it with Mako and Tuna so probably. I remember the hammerhead meat was pink. Didn't look like mako meat at all. Certainly didn't taste like it.

Is this tie rod tool useful?

I like the tool. I do exactly the same thing with the nut. I set it so it's flush with the end of the stud and give it a whack. Tool is probably better.

    Ever eat possum?

Never had possum. We used to fish a lot, Tuna, Blues, Mako Shark... One time, my dad caught a good sized Hammerhead. We tried cooking it. It was absolutely awful.

    Lets talk tea!

For the last couple of years I've been making iced tea with Luzianne tea bags. Real good flavor. Tastes good unsweetened.

My Hot Sauce Order Arrived Today

Last week, my wife brought home chicken pot pies from a local butcher. These things are awesome. I also love eating them with Char Man Verde hot sauce. I went looking in the cabinet and had none. What I did have was a bunch of goofy ultra hot sauces that people keep bringing me every time...

High perfomance oil filter for big block chevy needed.

I recently caught an episode of Engine Masters where they did an oil filter shootout. I think AC Delco and K&N did the best. They tested two different Wix filters and one did better than the other. Can't remember which. This was on a Big Chevy so maybe see if you can find the episode. I used...
