Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

The new spindle will go in from the bottom. There will be some force on the top bearing to push it out I assume. And of course not damage the bearing while it's being tapped in. A big washer with diameter of shaft maybe. Or the force needed to push new shaft in is no big deal? The new...

Burying an ethernet cable across the yard, how do I do it?

If you are running the underground cable to a building with power, then Unifi sells a building to building bridge which might be a consideration.

    Choosing a Generator

If I was going to use propane I would get a large tank and have a truck fill if. It can stay for years or decades with no issues.

Burying an ethernet cable across the yard, how do I do it?

I would look at TrueCable. Free shipping. I have bought close to a mile of CAT6 from them. You want to check the wire gauge and make sure it's copper not copper clad aluminum. With respect to crimping I am a fan of passthrough connectors. TrueCable sells a crimper as does Platinum Tools...

    Choosing a Generator

Are you rotating that gas? That's got to be a PIA. I hope the 82 gallons is in some kind of metal tank not a row of red 5 gallon containers. If you really want a backup to the backup generator I would think about propane. With your intended backup can you run your A/C? Personally I like the...

    Choosing a Generator

How much do you need a generator? I mean at some point you get in a car and drive to o some place where they have electricity and stay in a motel. Small supply of parts for main generator. Battery bank & Inverter? . Storing enough gasoline for any serious running of a generator is a PIA. 500...

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

I need to get a new shaft locally as my lawn really needs mowing. Do I need to worry about damaging the bearings in new spindle tapping in the new shaft?

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

Yes. I agree. But turning the upper bearing with my finger it feels fine. It turns and not loose. Of course turning the bearing with my finger is not the same as it spinning at 3600 RPM or whatever RPM the engine runs at.

Burying an ethernet cable across the yard, how do I do it?

Get the gel filled. Messy but the best waterproofing. You will have some voltage loss along the 200' cable. But should be OK. Max run is 100 meters.

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

So something is odd. I got the new spindle. I thought it would come with the shaft. But looks like you need to remove old shaft and install in new spindle. In doing so it sure looks like the problem was the top section of the shaft was worn and loose in the upper bearing in the spindle...

SAE30 ND used in mower with oil filter

I bought a 1965 Mustang w/289 Mustang. I assume run on ND oil. This was maybe 1970. I dumped the oil and filled it with Quaker State detergent 10W30 my Dad had by the case. I believe inside the oil pump was filled with sludge. The detergent oil loosened enough sludge to jam the oil pump...

    Oilpan Drainplug Removal Tool

If you have a drain pan with a grate or similar, just let the drain plug drop and take it off the grate. It may be hot however. Or Fumoto or Valvomax. I have tried to use a box end wrench to fish for the oil drain plug in a plain drain pan. Now that's fun!! You get it after many tries.

Replacement Oil Change Container Plastic Plugs

If your oil drain container has a hard plastic cap you unscrew to drain the oil I would trash it and get one that has polythene caps (soft plastic). That cap will eventually crack, draining oil and making a mess. Look on Amazon for ones by Performance Tool.

NAPA Gold vs Platinum Oil Filter

Well Platinums are still a good filter if one has a bypass filter.

    Filter wrench size

Why not the first one? It will fit very similar to a socket.

Drain or Extract the oil on problem car?

Not sure it matters how you change the oil. Any iron in the oil should be caught by the filter. How have you determined you have cam lobe wear? Doubt you will get five years out of the engine if indeed cam lobe wear has started.

    Valvomax users

Any of the drain pans with caps that are hard plastic are suspect.

    Valvomax users

I was looking on Amazon at oil drain pans, the ones you can screw on covers or caps and bring to recycling. Lots of bad reviews. Ones that come with missing or broken caps. Some with cover that covers the drain area but pop off when it's upright and filled with oil (what a mess) and others...

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

Good idea to swap the plastic pulleys. #21 is just a guard and is in good shape.
