it may be dual rated but it is designed for diesel engines. m1 0w-40 is dual rated but i wouldn’t want to pour it in a heavy duty diesel. look up the video on HDEO that lake speed put out.

M1 0w-40 would be my go-to for a flat tappet motor. leave HDEO where is belongs, in a diesel oil sump. i only top up with it in my oil burning accord because i have 20ish gallons of delo 5w-40 from the advance clearance.
