    10-day review - 2025 Ford Bronco Sport

Much like the owners of high performance cars who wet their pants at the thought of taking their car to the track (or worse, taking a corner at 5 mph over the posted advisory speed).

    10-day review - 2025 Ford Bronco Sport

I have a friend who owns a JLU Wrangler; she took it to a Jeep Jamboree but won't do it again because her husband insisted on thoroughly washing it after every trail run...

As I noted above, L-M dealers didn't have a shred of a clue about how to sell to people who had all of their own teeth. A similar fiasco took place with the Lincoln LS. In both cases L-M assured owners and enthusiasts that they were going to support and upgrade the cars long term then proceeded...

    Mazda Quality

I bought a new 2007 Mazdaspeed 3 Grand Touring in July 2007. I put 158,000 miles on it before I traded it in January of 2016. It had some teething issues under warranty but after that it was trouble free. I did add a Mazdaspeed CAI, a Hypertech tune, Koni FSDs, Michelin PSS tires, Gen 2 wheels...

Ford is offering employee pricing to all U.S. customers on most 2024 and 2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles

My nearest Ford dealers are beyond hopeless at both sales and service. My uncle (a Ford retiree) won't patronize them.

    Merkur XR4Ti

My wife bought a CPO Scorpio back in 1987. It was a nice car and reliability was decent but parts and service were more expensive than similar items on my E28 535is. The buying "experience" was interesting since Lincoln-Mercury dealers weren't used to dealing with customers who had all their own...

What is something you learned about your car after you owned it?

The Carly app let me change a lot of settings on my late model BMWs- splash screen, heated seat temperatures (at all three settings) and a lot of other options. I wish I could code out the stop/start on the C43 but it looks like I’ll have to pay for that.

What is something you learned about your car after you owned it?

The console lid on my wife’s 1984 Skylark failed in exactly the same way the lid on my 1974 Monte Carlo failed. Identical design, identical failure point.

What is something you learned about your car after you owned it?

I could take or leave the turn signal design. However, I liked the cruise control design- going back to my E28 535is. It’s academic at this point; the new BMWs are awkwardly styled and the digital IP and touchscreen are anything but driver focused. It all caused me to flip a BMW for something...

What is something you learned about your car after you owned it?

The turn signal self centering and the wand mounted cruise control are two.

What is something you learned about your car after you owned it?

BMW's had that feature for decades. To get higher scores from JD Power and others many features unique to BMW have been eliminated.

What is something you learned about your car after you owned it?

I've had my C43 since December 2022 and I continue to learn things about it. It has so many features that can be configured. One thing I found interesting was how you can change the speed and sensitivity of the touchpads on the steering wheel and console.

My 2009 Clubman had a similar setup.

Auto Insurance for an old car and young driver

Back in 2011 Safeco had no problem insuring my 16 year old son in my 1975 2002. It had no electronic nannies of any sort, but I did install new 3-point seat belts, E21 Recaros and I made sure that the drivetrain, brakes and suspension were in excellent shape. More importantly, my wife and I...

New Dodge Hornets reported as selling 33 percent below MSRP- worth consideration??

The dealer group in Louisville that had the Alfa and Maserati franchises dropped them a few weeks ago. Up to then I was being sorely tempted by a CPO Giulia Quadrifoglio.

Anything wrong with 2016-2019ish Subaru WRX?

I almost bought a new 2016 STI. It was a hoot but my wife and I both thought the overall driving experience was too similar to my modded 2007 MS3. Still, it was a great car.
