Financial graphic comparison of buying a new or used car

    Lets talk about new vehicles

The new BMW M cars don't interest me one bit; I'd take an F87 M2 CS, but that's about it. Anyway, I owned an E24 M6 for several years- back when M stood for Motorsport and not Marketing.

That’s inexcusable. When I worked at BMW I would have been beyond humiliated if a customer knew more about the car I was selling than I did.

Financial graphic comparison of buying a new or used car

In my experience with ABS on my BMWs as well as the C43 I've almost never activated ABS on dry pavement. Ditto when driving on the track.

Financial graphic comparison of buying a new or used car

My usual approach is to buy a one to two year old car (preferably a CPO), pay it off in 1-2 years and keep it for 6-8 years. Depreciation is my friend and it allows me to own cars that I truly enjoy driving. I have only bought new when I wanted a car that was relatively rare and/or was not...
