I just tried Jescar Power Lock Plus Polymer Sealant

I thought the Jescar Power Lock+ lasted longer than almost any other sealant short of ceramic.

Look at the trailer jack. And coupler. Cheap galvanizing.

'22 Palisade, had to change the AGM battery today

That does seem very short for a new car battery. Wouldn't it be covered under warranty? I have bought 2 of the Walmart AGMs like you show but group 65 for my pickup. They were East Penn. I wish WALMART would sell a better selection of AGM batteries including marine batteries.

    Debit Card hacked

I have the debit card for my main bank account locked all the time and if I need some cash I unlock it and get the cash at my bank's ATM. Then lock it again. When we traveled to Europe I put $1000 in another bank, told that bank what country I would be going to. Very handy to get cash as...

Boat engine - another rusty pulley

I used one of those Scotch-Brite kind of wire brushes in a drill and got it like this. It's feels pretty smooth to the touch. Not perfect.

    Battery Minder Plus Experiment Concludes

You should have used a BatteryMinder with temp compensation. Like the model 2012. In DFW with high temps you really need temperature compensation. I have two model 2012 and one 128.

Boat engine - another rusty pulley

Here is how the pulley looks. New VP pulley is a little over $200. I could buy a cheap media blast cabinet for less. So my question is with a media blast of some type and paint or powder coating will this be smooth.

Pulling PS pulley using a puller

Gee and I was thinking I had a reason to buy a new tool.

Pulling PS pulley using a puller

On the parts diagram it shows that large washer is actually part of the pulley and that the pulley and shaft are splined.

3.6 pentastar as bad as it seems ???

People love their Jeeps but they are listed near the bottom for reliability. I had a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I loved. People with Jeeps like Wranglers love their Jeeps to a higher degree than those with Jeep Grand Cherokee. I put a reman 4.0 engine in mine due to a cracked piston skirt...

Pulling PS pulley using a puller

This PS pulley does not have a grove where one can use a PS pulley puller? So a normal gear puller? May I can just remove the nut and the lock washer and then the larger washer. Or is larger washer part of the pulley?

Boat engine - another rusty pulley

It does not feel very smooth to the touch. So obviously some minor pitting. Sanding away minor pitting would be a lot of work. Not sure there is a lot I can do with just sanding and paint. Powder coating with do some kind of sand or media blast and then I am hoping the powder coating would...

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

Well mower is back together and mowing fine. Blades sharpened and most of the parts of the engine driven spindle replaced. Hindsight is 20/20 but I should have realized that more of the parts needed to be replaced vs figuring it out part by part.

Boat engine - another rusty pulley

I really need to start using my boat. But found one more thing to deal with. #16 in the diagram is pretty rusty and a wire brushing with what I had with me did not get it smooth. I see a little black powder in the bilge that indicates to me the rust is basically sanding down the belt. I...

Where is my '19 ES350 Engine Coolant Block Drain?

Unless you are doing a cleaning with a heavy duty cleaner and really need to flush very well or are changing coolant chemistry then I don't think you really need to drain via block drain plug. I went from Ford orange to Ford yellow in my PSD. While compatible you don't get the full benefit...

Where is my '19 ES350 Engine Coolant Block Drain?

The block drain has to be near the bottom of the block or it's not a drain. It will not be much more than 2" or so inches above where the oil pan is bolted to the block. Drain plug likely to be brass. Get some PB Blaster in there a few minutes before you start. No idea if it's hex or square...

    My new Murray push mower

I agree, engine oil of almost any type will be fine. Maybe even cold pressed olive oil. It's splash lubrication. Murray is not high end. It will be OK but it's not a Toro. But if it cut the grass and you are happy then that's all that matters. If it develops a problem it will likely be...

'Tis the season - dead lawn mower batteries

Wind chill does not matter for a battery. While the battery will probably cool down faster in the wind it will never get below the actual temperature even in 50 MPH winds. There have been problems in the past with Optima batteries. The Optima AGM need a battery charger with a special setting...
