Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

I am getting really frustrated in that I just did not see everything that needed replacing when I took it apart. Now I noticed the pulled/brake only has the flats in the inside hole towards the top and so the pulley turns on the new shaft vs turning the shaft. So another parts order for the...

    2015 Ford F-250 PSD 158.6k mi; Rotella T6 5W-40 5.3k mi

First thought would be error at lab but the viscosity is fine, so essentially no fuel thinned the motor oil. I have used Rotella T6 5W40 before. So probably not the oil. I have started to consistently use Archoil but too big of an improvement for a fuel additive. I drive mostly in towns and...

Replacement Oil Change Container Plastic Plugs

I have the one you mention from Walmart "Hyper Tough". I think its "just OK". I think it holds only 14 QTs and not 16 QTs. The vent cap pops open and will not stay closed for oil transport, and the big plug in the pan section has no O-ring and minimal threading. Without too much trouble it...

A/C Line Repair Kit- worth having in advance for a rainy day?

I am not a A/C repair guy but just from my limited knowledge a lot of leaks are in condenser or O-rings or fill valve. Not sure the kit will help with any of those. There is more to A/C repair than fixing the leak. You need to pull a vacuum for 30 min and see if it holds then maybe add some...

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

Take a look at my recent post where I say the new shaft fits easily in new spindle. Just slide in there with two fingers. What's to prevent the shaft turning on the bearing vs the bearing turning? Maybe the pulleys and top nut tightened will make the shaft and bearings turn as one? The old...

I talked to the guy who did the upgrade to DCR HPFP and he has never seen fuel dillution improve this significantly due to an upgrade of the HPFP. And has done several. He is the diesel engine expert for southern Delaware. The only other thing I have done is switch and consistently use Archoil...

    Pressure washer dumpster find

That is what I was referring to. The water circulates from the bypass back to inlet. Round and round getting hotter and hotter, eventually it will melt nylon parts. Some commercial setup with a big water tank on a trailer route the bypass into the tank. So no really chance for the water to...

    Pressure washer dumpster find

Not true. There are nylon valves (or parts of the valve) in the pump. With the trigger not pulled the water goes round and round through the unloader back to the pump and gets a little hotter with each pass. Probably several passes a second. The water quickly gets hot and at some point...

Is this a clutch on a Toro Timemaster?

So the new shaft arrived. It's black steel. It slides in all the way by hand. It's not loose or anything but I could push it in by hand without any real force. What will prevent it from turning in the bearings?

So about half way through this OCI the CP4 was upgraded to a DCR HPFP. And crankcase ventilation box replaced. Both as preventative maintenance. Fuel dilution dropped dramatically. 158000 miles and 4103 hours at sample time.

    Pressure washer dumpster find

People think they can leave the pressure washer running (without trigger pulled) while they have lunch and run a few errands and watch a game. Wrong. If it's much more than just a minute or two, shut down the engine. The exception is a setup with a big tank where water is pushed into the tank...

    Pressure washer dumpster find

I am not a real fan of using anything more than an electric pressure washer and surface cleaner (the round attachment) on a deck. It raises the grain on the wood. There is actually not all that much around a house one should use the pressure of a gas pressure washer on. House itself should be...

Trenching PEX for air to a shed?

What's the air for? Cordless tools can do most of the work. And cordless inflator is great. Set the PSI and wait for the beep. Or at least the good ones like Milwaukee can do that.

They filled the tank with gas, not diesel

I do not have the whole story. I think the sealer truck was outside and the mechanic was siphoning the gas out. I am told he went to do something and told the driver to watch it. It's at that point it caught on fire. Maybe they were using a drill pump and sparks from the brushes ignited...

I have the feeling you were keeping your eye on this pressure washer to see when they might toss it.

    Pressure washer dumpster find

I did something similar with a pressure washer frame and engine I bought for $25. Wanted a horizontal shaft engine. I had a new pump from a previous project where I ordered the wrong pump and never returned it.

They filled the tank with gas, not diesel

A relative owns a asphalt maintenance company. His workers put gas in vs diesel. His big sealer truck started the fire. Apparently mechanic was working on draining the gas. I have more pictures to upload. But upload does not seem to be working.

Low mileage late 2000 Jaguar XJL purchase considered

The older Jags, you needed a mechanic to follow you in his pickup wherever you went. Unsure about newer.
