2005 Honda Odyssey A/C not very cold after compressor replacement

If you have an obstruction from "debris" then that creates a low pressure area allowing liquid refrigerant to flash to gas. Hand over hand the piping to see if you have frost somewhere.

Post your latest engine/cabin air filter change

I changed my wifes CX-5 Engine Air filter when I did her oil change over the weekend. 20K on engine. It really wasn't very dirty at all, but I changed it. Used a Purolator One air filter. Looked pretty much identical to the OEM Mazda.

    Castrol synthetic filter

I have never actually seen a Castrol oil filter in the wild, but when we decided to go with Mazda vehicles, a lot of the oil change videos on youtube were using them in Mazdas. Not even sure I could get one arounfd the Charlotte, NC area. Not that I need to, quite happy with the PG / Pentius...

I would keep going with the R&P. Probably best thing you could do for it right now. Thanks for keeping us posted on the progress.

What are you eating right now?

So, I have started weight watchers. I need to lose about 15 pounds for hernia surgery (it's bad......) Plus, want to lose more than that. I'm 57 and have more belly fat than I would like (I don't drink, just a foodie...) Started walking, at night, this heat and humidity is ugh. May start...

We're in South Carolina and my wife is petrified of snakes. Only good snake is a dead one according to her. She would be rendered catatonic by this......

    Honda 15400-plm-a02 on Mazda 3

@dogememe I'm surprised 75% of the time it isn't "Give me the cheapest one."

2006 Harley Electra Glide Twin Cam 88

Cam chain tensioners need to be replaced. Need to be replaced or can cause catastrophic engine damage. The replacement is an upgraded part. I would ask about this specifically. Older engines, like this one, may exhibit excess crankshaft runout, causing a vibration and wear. A guy I served...

    Honda 15400-plm-a02 on Mazda 3

Bypass seems to be the same (12-14 PSID) so should work. Thats for the non-turbo's. Mazda Turbos have a different OEM part number, but all the aftermarket filters don't seem to recognize that. Physical size of these is a touch longer compared to the 6607, so equivalent to the 7317 I believe...

    2019 Mazda CX-5, 6K OCI, 103K On Engine, QS 0w-20

Looks good. Both Mazdas in my signature have cylinder de-activation. I have not encountered any issues at all, but only have roughly 20K on each engine. Hopefully no issues. From what I have seen, these engines go a long time. For me, I only do max 5K in any DI engine. I consider DI...

Coil compressor for McPherson type strut

You can go rent the tool from your local auto parts store. Just be super careful. Potential energy is deadly. TIP: DO NOT use an impact. Slow and steady with a wrench or pass thorough socket. Nice and even. Gloves and safety glasses. I bought these a year or so ago. Did my neighbors...

    Castrol GTX Full Synthetic 0w-20

Looks like a good oil for GDI engines. Wonder if the 5W-30 is similar? I see this oil for $20 or so on Amazon.

    Gas trimmer purchase?

My Stihl lasted 15 years and then the shaft broke. It was a great trimmer though. I actually bought an inexpensive, straight shaft, Craftsman at Lowes for a temporary solution to get me through the summer, then I planned to buy a new Stihl. I have been using the Craftsman two years now and...

    API Certified vs Non-Certified Oils

Mazda just says "API Certified." Doesn't even give a specification like SN, SP, etc.
