    Toyota guy here. That is super bad. Anything you do is not the right answer. If you clean it yourself, you knock a bunch of dirt around. If you run an engine clean through it, you knock dirt around. I would but another head on it this point, or just change the oil every 1000 miles and pray.

    Many older lexus vehicles here. Usually one side goes bad. If nothing works at all, I would suspect a power issue. Worst case scenario, if you have a wiring diagram, you can supply manual power to move it into the position you want and leave it there.
