    Metal in Engine Oil Break-in

Isn't this the same engine being replaced in over 100,000 Toyotas due, supposedly, to maching debris left in the block during manufacturing?

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

Has anyone seen a R&P UOA that might provide an indication of it's performance from a wear standpoint?

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

I called tech support about this question, and the reply was that any carryover into the intake and to the valve would indeed help remove deposits.

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

Valvoline says the oil is also their top choice for new engines, so why wouldn't they have it approved for Dexos 1 Gen 3, thereby expanding their potential user base?

So the Walmart version also has a different UPC for this product.

    Oil Sold at Walmart

Are the two numbers on either side of the barcode and not directly under the barcode part of the UPC?

    Oil Sold at Walmart

I'd like to, but it's already 92 with 106 heat index.

    Oil Sold at Walmart

The container from Walmart has the same bar code number except that the last number at the end of the bar code is a1 instead of 2.

For example, the five quart 5w30 Restore & Protect at Walmart is Part #904590 amd SKU #904590 and at Auto Zone it is Part #904566 SKU #1345764.

    Oil Sold at Walmart

I've seen discussion that the oil sold at Walmart is the exact same oil sold at parts stores, but why would the part number and SKU be different?

Which oil for breaking in 2024 F250 7.3?

I emailed Pennzoil in the last few days and they said there is no schedule to update the bottle or PDS to indicate that it meets Ford WSS-M2C61-A1 spec. How hard can it be to complete this? It tells me Ultra Platinum may be on the chopping block, although I hope not as I've used it for the last...

    2024 Coyote Oil Selection

I've read that QSUP 5W30 is supposed to be GTL base, but the Shell portal doesn't even have the SDS available, and its not mentioned in the PDS. Is there anywhere else to look?

    2024 Coyote Oil Selection

Trying to decide on the oil to use for my first oil change in a 2024 Mustang 5.0. I have a 2016 Mustang and have been using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, but unfortunately this oil does not have the required Ford spec WSS-M2C961-A1. Some 5W30 oils being considered include: Quaker State Ultimate...

    AC Delco Oil Filters

The PF63s I see in the store now at a new Auto Zone no longer have this extra thin plate. Although at Wal Mart, which may be older stock, still have it.

    AC Delco Oil Filters

What is the purpose of the thin "extra" plate on the inlet to the Ac Delco filters, which I'm seeing looks like it is being discontinued?

    What Base is Super-Lube?

The MSDS seems to indicate that the base is Fumed Silica. I email SuperLube asking the question directly, but have never received a reply. Is there a grease compatibility chart that includes Fumed Silica? Is this the same as Silica Gel? What are the pros and cons for this grease base?
