Stihl FS 45 wont stay running

I have a km-90r 4mix. Don't think it is the same engine type, but I had similar issues, none of which had to do with the engine type. I replaced the external fuel lines from the tank to carb, tore down carb and cleaned all the diaphrgams w/ seafoam (iirc) then reassembled, and swapped tanks...

    ice auger oil (4 stroke)

I would take note of the level the factory fill before I changed and refilled to that point barring any other knowledge. However I'd try to find the proper level by contacting dealer or manufacturer. Also I'd look at the 0w-30 specs and compare to the 5w-30 cold properties and see if any are...

    Need basement bulkhead ideas

Tax / entrance ramifications aside, I believe that you could lop the roof of your entrance off, extend the main roof existing pitch down over your side window, make the bottom of your side window sill your door sill elevation, and frame up and connect the concrete wall with your extended roof...

Fords new 2.7 vs Chevy 5.3 vs Dodge 3.0 Diesel

At miller88 - Yeah, I am most interested in the forum thoughts on the durability and reliability of the skin panels. Also interested if there is any considerable flexure I'm not thinking of that would cause fatigue stress cracking over time.

Fords new 2.7 vs Chevy 5.3 vs Dodge 3.0 Diesel

Maybe it's just my perception from the video, but both the Ram and Chevy take the Ford off the line, then it seems the Ford's turbos spool up and take over. I suppose it'll operate in the real world similar to the difference between a Chevy 350 and the first 5.3 engines, grunt vs speed. Seeing...

RJ Reynolds ordered to pay Robinson $25 billion

Do the pot products sold in Colorado carry any sort of warning label? Has Colorado petitioned the Surgeon General on advisement concerning warning labels on marijuana products that can possibly be consumed in the same manner, and may have similar adverse effects, as tobacco products? Do (or...

RJ Reynolds ordered to pay Robinson $25 billion

The apparently uneducated statement was to merely induce the thought process of how many parallels can be twisted into a conceivably arguable litigious scenario similar and following the same logic as the RJ case. I cannot take a stance for or against the decision as I abhor many disgusting...

Another good reason not to buy used tires

I used to buy used tires quite often for my truck due to the many unavoidable flats I get each year, but not for the wife or kids. I pay attention, whereas they do not. A decade ago, good used tires were plentiful (people had money and take offs were common), but not the case any longer, at...

What is Stihl Motomix fuel made of?

It is advertised as ethanol free 92 octane gas w/ stihl synthetic 2 cycle oil at 50:1. never used it myself, though I have used stihl ultra synthetic quite a bit mixed with 92/93 octame 10% ethanol gas in 4mix and 2 cycle and it is pricey but has kept coking in the 4mix at bay.

    tire rotation.

It'll probably cost $50 bucks or more to remove them, turn, and remount them on the rims. I've thought about do this in the past, but I've come to the conclusion that if I have a decent set of used tires ready all the time, I just run them into the ground. I've been lucky though and have...

    Silverado 2002 5.3 Shocks-Rear

I have an aging 1999 and replaced shocks last year. 99 thru 02 should be the same. If I recall correctly, there is a difference between a Z71 truck and just a regular truck. Longer travel I believe, so make sure you look into that to verify. My truck is no longer a showpiece at 15 years old...

Ryobi 18v lithium cordless drill and impact combo. Dewalt 18v nicd drill finally gave up the ghost after a decade or so of abuse. For $100 for drill, impact, charger, and two batteries, I had to give it a try. Anyone have this set?

Do You Pre Fill Your Oil Filter?

I'll put some oil in the filter, but not full. Maybe 1/2 to 3/4 depending on the limbo the filter needs to do to get into place without spillage.

harsh "clunk" occasionally when tran is shifting

2002 explorer here w/ 5r55 transmission. Clunk into reverse and a hard 3-4 shift. After some research online, seems to be a symptom of a sticking solenoid. New solenoid pack or Andy's bore fix.

Go For Windows 7 or Windows 8.1?

Windows 8 is definitely a touchscreen operating system. It most certainly be used without a touchscreen, but I find it a little clumsy without a touchscreen. The dual core G3220 is more or less a dual core i3-4150 @85% speed without hyperthreading (mimics 2 additional cores). I3 is definitely...
