I think that is OC #4. I'm not worried about the copper. The engine hasn't even reached 20K yet.

I did this UOA to get a baseline, and changed the oil with only 4,678 miles to get it done before cold weather comes. No doubt I can easily run this oil to 7,500 miles. The Wix filters are doing a great job.

This is a Napa Gold 7060 filter run on my 2008 Silverado 6.0L VortecMAX for 9,083 miles.

This is a Napa Gold 7899 that was installed on my 2013 Challenger R/T 5.7L Hemi on 3/31/2014. It was run for 4678 miles.

Having a tear is like having the bypass valve open. The oil will flow through the path of least resistance.

What was the purpose of the cam swap, performance upgrade or replacement of worn part?

The one filter that never seems to have a problem is Wix/Napa Gold. They are a good value too of you buy them from Fleet Filter or Rockauto. I usually buy half a dozen at a time to save shipping costs.

Though I had no trouble from the Bosch D+ filters I used on my Hemi, I think it speaks well for Wix that they are the only manufacturer that took this OEM spec seriously enough to produce a special filter for it.
