I think that is OC #4. I'm not worried about the copper. The engine hasn't even reached 20K yet.

PU 5w20 2013 Challenger 5.7L Hemi 4,678 miles on oil

I did this UOA to get a baseline, and changed the oil with only 4,678 miles to get it done before cold weather comes. No doubt I can easily run this oil to 7,500 miles. The Wix filters are doing a great job.

PU 5w20 2013 Challenger 5.7L Hemi 4,678 miles on oil

Filter was Napa Gold 7899 Blackstone Comments: This sample from your Challenger has some high copper, but that's not too unusual for a relatively new engine like this. Copper is from brass/bronze parts, and it's often the highest metal during wear-in of the new engine, since those parts don't...

    PU 10w30 2008 Silverado 6.0L L76 9,083 miles on oil

OLM was at 19%. Filter was NAPA Gold 7060. Blackstone Comments: Copper improved this time, but lead is going the other way. Lead might be a sign of bearing wear, so it's an important one to watch, but there's still a chance that the lead in your system is just coming from the new radiator you...

Synthetic Oil and the Hemi Tick

I have a 2013 Challenger R/T A5 with the 5.7L Hemi. I had the same startup lefter noise a couple of times when using Bosch D+ filters. It has never happened since switching to Wix filters. I run Pennzoil Ultra 5w20. I have run PU 5w30 in the car during summertime, with no ill effect on the MDS...

    Best filter out there?

The one filter that never seems to have a problem is Wix/Napa Gold. They are a good value too of you buy them from Fleet Filter or Rockauto. I usually buy half a dozen at a time to save shipping costs.

NAPA Gold 7899 (Chrysler) vs 1372 (Ford)

Though I had no trouble from the Bosch D+ filters I used on my Hemi, I think it speaks well for Wix that they are the only manufacturer that took this OEM spec seriously enough to produce a special filter for it.
