2009 Hyundai Sonata UOA 5 Speed AT SP-III

Results are in. Not much different than last time, I suppose, but to be expected as I do just one drain every time I service the A/T and do not disconnect any hoses. And downshift from 4th to 3rd is more smooth after the most recent D&F. I think this Vavloline fluid is pretty good. Code...

2009 Hyundai Sonata UOA 5 Speed AT SP-III

UPDATE: I drained and re-filled w/ Valvoline Import FS ATF this weekend. It's been about 15K miles since my original post. No dramatic change in performance but downshift from 4th to 3rd has been a bit rougher than I'd prefer. Don't know if I just recently started noticing it or it's been there...

    Cooper CS5 Ultra Cooper reviews?

Have a look at this good thread: https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4154642/Initial_impressions_-_Cooper_C Opinions do vary but are mostly positive. Some are reporting premature wear though. I'm keeping an eye an mine. Down to 9/32nds in 10K miles.

    Falken Azenis FK450?

It would be great if those that purchased could put some reviews up about the tires after they are mounted and potentially along the way of ownership... thanks in advance!

    Falken Azenis FK450?

Right, not much by way of reviews. Azenis FK450 and Sincera SN250 A/S came out at the same time based on an article I read about a month ago. I think the roll out was Feb 2016 -- or it could have been just the announcement. Maybe there was a delay for FK?

Initial impressions - Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring

I have CS5 Ultras, 215/60R16 95H. Got about 10K miles / one year on them. Rotated once so far. I did not measure but assume that tread depth was 11/32 originally (per manufacturer). I was at 9/32 @ 9K miles. Even wear all around as far as I could see. But that's a bit faster wear than I'd prefer...

    Planning to buy these tires

My main concern right now about CS5 Ultras is tread life -- I'm down to 9/32 after only about 9K miles on all four tires. The other thing is that handling stability is a bit worse than with the previous set (Kelly Explorer Plus) when winds are strong, esp. at highway speeds. We'll see how well...

    Planning to buy these tires

My two vehicles have same tire sizes as yours and I've been doing quite a bit of reading on the subject lately. My personal experience with CS5 Ultra's has been limited so far (under 10K miles) but positive. Can't say whether or not the sidewall is soft -- kind of subjective. But overall grip...

New from General: Altimax Arctic 12

Now I understand why Discount Tire dropped price on the (old) Arctics for at least one of the sizes I was looking to buy. That's assuming these Arctic 12's will make it to the U.S. market.
