Why are people still framing this as "working on your own car" ? Most of us want to change oil and do brakes and other routine maintenance. This isn't modifying the software in any way. Why the idiotic hyperbole?

The taxes are the current owner's problem. You shouldn't even be in the loop for that. If he doesn't want to taxes deducted from his selling price he maybe should have kept up on his taxes.

All that said I am doing the edge thing. My bill did not change at all because of the $25 discount on service. I made sure to get a flagship phone (LG G3) so I hope to get 3 years out of it. It'll be nice having a lower bill for a good amount of time.
