Wish I saved the STP that blew the can off. It was correct for...
I would do a dump and fill clean out, like a few hundred miles. Who knows what the car has been through. How did the oil look when it came out the drain? It wasn't gloppy or anything? At least they sprang for a premium filter. That's a clue towards something positive.

Sure does. I've been really happy with it. It's really solid.
I would wait for the known good part to arrive. Historically, when I rush something, I end up doing it twice.
In the future, use a scraping device softer than the substrate. I use plastic typically. These are fiberglass reinforced plastic...
Brickseek shows all Walmart stores around me stocked well in ST 0w-20. Which is good, I service a couple 0w-20 vehicles for friends. And I'm almost out of VME 0w-20.
I had my Snap-On dealer source me one. He found me a fantastic billet aluminum one, don't know the brand but it's cut dozens and is anodized red. I paid $20 per week for it. Wife none the wiser since I just kept paying the truck account.
My parts guy at work bought a few boxes of those Fleetguards. The small automotive applications are junky honestly. The anti drainback valves cut at the point that the filter element presses on them and sucks the inner part of the valve into the clean side. I showed them this and we promptly...

No. By measuring with calipers. All Fram cans are .015". K&N and Mobil 1 by contrast are .020"
I'm was about to say the same thing . Also fram doesn't...

Bolded is not accurate. Recalls are NHTSA mandated. They may elect to deny a warranty claim/repair due to neglect, but as I'm sure you are alluding to, the...
Your maintenance program is similar to mine on my wife's older Santa Fe, 5k interval with synthetic oil and a good filter. Keep it up. That filter looks great. The OEM filters are swell units. Wife's is at 239k with no signs of slowing down. I've used both the OEM 3C100 filter and K&N...
