    Considering replacement vehicle. Help.

Camry 2.5L is tried and true, if not a little boring. But I personally can live with boring if it gets me tried and true. I liked it when I test drove it, but I went with the Forester for ground clearance in lake effect snow. Otherwise, I'd be in a Camry.

Should I remove the lift kit?

I would think this is the case as well. Ultimately, lifting a vehicle sends you down a rabbit hole. The spacers are a quick and dirty way out of the problem, and then we get the varying opinions on whether it's a viable solution or not.

Should I remove the lift kit?

And this is where you and I are arguing that by doing that, you're putting more stress on the studs, which is dangerous because if they fail, it will do so without warning whereas a bearing hints that it is going to fail through noises and such. Spidertrax spacers probably do the best job at...

Should I remove the lift kit?

The offset of the wheel doesn't have any affect on where the wheel is mounted wrt the hub itself. Like zrxkawboy said, it's still going to be mounted near the "shoulder" regardless of offset.

Never before have I been so uninspired/disinterested...

I went to the auto show this year and was fairly uninspired. But what really had me shaking my head was VW. Every single one of their models looked the same, just different sizes. I'm came into their display area from back side and I literally would not be able to differentiate the vehicles...

Should I remove the lift kit?

Fair enough, and I'll admit I'm speaking only from a lifted truck point of view. In those cases, it just becomes a cheap shortcut that will do more harm than good from a performance standpoint. And by performance, I'm talking about off road capabilities. I'll concede that the issues may not be...

Should I remove the lift kit?

You're still changing geometry, and the bearings pay the price. I agree some are better than others like Spidertrax, but I'd steer clear. Do the lift modestly and adjust your offset modestly by changing wheels if this is a daily driver. Even then, you're still making compromises. I just...

Should I remove the lift kit?

The stress on the studs of the hub. I don't know crap from Crisco, but I'd put money on the wheel spacers causing that driver's side front wheel to come off that truck that sent the Kia Soul airborne in California last month...

Should I remove the lift kit?

Wheel spacers are dangerous AF. If you want the wider stance, get wheels with an offset that supports it.

What age were you when you got married?

I didn't mean to be a Debbie Downer with my post, so I apologize if it derailed the thread. That said, let me pass on some advice, especially to the more recent marriages or the soon to be married. Just make sure your marriage is your priority. I think ultimately that is why mine didn't work...

I'm ok overall, thanks. Just not what I wanted, but nothing bad happened and it's 100% amicable.
