    With your oil change intervals you will never get into where there will beany synthetic advantage . Other than being able to tell all I run syn oil and change it a dino oil intervals. I would recommend the plain M1 oil as that oil is way more than needed for your use.

    Open headers will lean the Air fuel mixture . Driving to the exhaust shop will be no problem. Make sure you check the sparkplug color to see if the carb needs rejetting or adjustment after hooking up the exhaust to gain the max performance increase.

    With the new oil ratings 5 to 6 ,000 miles are reasonable and syns 10,000 miles are reasonable intervals.Especially if the engines get upto operating temps for a while.
