    Motul 300V series oils

I'm leaning toward using 300V 5W-40 Motul oil and was wondering if others have tried this one and have some backup info UOA's as to how it stood up. It would be good to know if the oil has sufficient detergents to keep the engine clean over about a 5000 - 10,000 mile run. Thanks. .

    Amsoil engine flush product

Thanks for helping keep the thread on track MB. My question is specificaly about the Amsoil engine flush and not about other flushes in general. I think that Amsoil trys to excel at providing good products so has the Amsoil engine flush been chemically engineered to a higher quality than some of...

    Amsoil engine flush product

Thanks, I'm thinking more in terms of keeping ring grooves free of coke buildup rather than general sludge. As I have been looking at using M1 0W-40 and from some reading PAO based oils are said to build harder coke deposits which may tend to accumulate I'm wondering if there would be an upside...

    The 10 percent solution

From reading, oil changes in most engines will only replace 80% to 90% of used oil. Any management strategies to get to as close as possible to 100% new oil after each change cycle, power flushes, a double oil change with the second oil change after 50 miles etc, thanks.

nissan has new ATF : matic S

A bit further on the 'Matic S' or Matic Synthetic ATF fluid; the 11 liter pails available in Canada don't have a Nissan part number and aren't supplied by Nissan although it has Nissan written approval to the dealerships for use in any transmissions requiring Matic-J or K. Talking with an...

nissan has new ATF : matic S

The local Nissan dealership parts guy tells me that Matic - S (for synthetic) has been out for awhile, comes in 11 liter pails, costs about $135 in Canada and is for use in the transmission flush machines but can be sold to the public as well. Interesting that it doesn't show up in the latest...

    Which transfer case fluid

Thanks, Redline, RLI and Amsoil aren't really easy to find here so I'll likely give M1 a try as it is readily accessible. I'll post some in use wear and shear numbers to show how it stands up in comparision to the Matic-D factory fill.
