To trade in or not to trade in

Good resale on these. Say by by, NOW. Private sale only or you will loose 2 to 3 Gs on a dealer trade, Do check a Carvana value though for an easy button move to get a baseline I would absolutely skip the FolksVogan. That's fryingpan into the fire.

    Clothes Washer Drain Pump Filter

Never seen a pump failure in over 60 years of doing wash. The pumps are wide-clearance "trash pumps" with very basic impellers.

Most reliable 10 year-old car that isn’t a Toyota or Honda?

Test drove a 2021.base Versa. Absolute junk - and I am quite lenient for base econoboxes. In my limited experience, not good quality coming out of Augascalientes, E.U.M. Joint looks good from the chopper though: THESE FORDS WERE FUN -

Subaru Forester 17,185mi oci, HPL 0w30

He is too thick as it is. Timing system design issue. I am running 10W30 in warmer months. on a 20 spec engine

Subaru Forester 17,185mi oci, HPL 0w30

I that an engine out job? Or a subframe drivetrain drop? That is a big front cover. Long chains have no place in an engine, IMHO. This has been proven time and time again in the past decade across multiple marques. This is why I like the honda ratchting tensioners, never had noise with them...

    What's The Complaint About Trufuel?

28 bucks a gallon in quarts. Makes no sense at all to me. Easy enough to make non ethanol fuel with E10 or E15 for odpe. Or go to the paint aisle and get some Toluene and some paint Thinner.

Subaru Forester 17,185mi oci, HPL 0w30

Inverted filter on FB25 will give you a dry start. Those cans are ALWAYS empty when I perform an OC. I will see with the new Tokyo Roki if I do that oil change next spring. We have the new OE Tokyo Roki on our Crosstrek - engine is MUCH quieter at startup. The blue painted frams are...

Most reliable 10 year-old car that isn’t a Toyota or Honda?

Haven't owned one but I would guess a Sentra with an mt wouldn't be too bad. my buddy had decent luck with a 4 cylinder BMW. I don't think I would hazard either though, lol! Give me a Satellite or Fury with a 318 and 3 on the tree, or an 80's FWD Buick Skylark with Tech iv iron duke power.

    Songs with hokey sound effects

Wow, Good one! Now that you mention it, I wondered what that was for certain. 45 years ago I said to myself that is not a synth sound, maybe a traffic horn doppler effect with the tape gradually slowed and some reverb added in. Not "Hokey" for sure though

    03 cobra oil

10W30 - in Texas. I run it up here in the north east in little 4 bangers. Superior stuff. I would not run a euro LL oil, too much detergent for super Hi-Po - but it is a better option than an ILSAC RC 5W30 that's for dang sure.

    2004 4Runner - 1 cyl low compression

I see that engine (5VZFE) has a DOHC S.U.B. 4V heads. Might have a recessed and tight EX valve that can lead to melting/burning of part of the seat circumference.

    2004 4Runner - 1 cyl low compression

I meant the engine. I just rebuilt the 340 hi-po engine a 67 buick GS a couple years ago. along with replacing control arm and sway bushing and ball joints. Drives great.

Try some detergent and warm water on MED load setting. Woolite seems pretty good.

    Clothes Washer Drain Pump Filter

I have an old General Motors Frigidaire Gallery unit. I am unaware of any filters other than screens on the H + C water inlets. and strainer in the door overflow gasket.

    Songs with hokey sound effects

Bull whip* and horse galloping from Aerosmith's Back in the Saddle. _________________ I had read recently that the band couldn't get a big whip to crack in the studio, and some guys even got welts and cuts trying, so they ended up whipping a long mic cord around and then splicing in a "snap" of...

    Totalled Toyo...

Lexus!? Glad your daughter is O.K. but, She would be walking after those antics. Needs some operation and driving lessons. Sounds easy repairable though. the LCA are wimpy and desiged to give before the unit frame gets tweeked. Any good shade trees you know?

    2004 4Runner - 1 cyl low compression

Slim chance it might be hot stuck. A soak (mentioned in post #9) would be a good and cheap first step if you don't have a compressor and adapter and gauge to do a leak down. I would fill that cyl with a couple oz of cleaner, plug it and turn the motor with a bar to just past TDC to force...

    Songs with hokey sound effects

Another brick in the wall with the megaphone and the chopper - bad Toy piano in Neil Diamond's Shilo - good Ringo Hammering on an anvil in Maxwell's Silver Hammer - it's silly song anyway The motorcycle revving up, then a car peeling out on The Gap Band's Burn Rubber on Me - Forgiven! the...
