Today’s Project: Are BendPak lifts truly portable? No.

How do you like the Kwik lift? I enquired about a used one on FB MP but the guy quit responding to my messages, so I guess that is a no go. It looks like a nice unit. Looking at their website, it looks like they have temporarily gone out of business. I would say at this point they probably...

    Rhino Ramps Collapsed

These are one set of Rhino Ramps that I own and have had for years. I thought this version was pretty solid. Disheartening to see these break like this. I also have the newer design which I don't trust that much as they don't seem as well built.

    Post Your Latest Coolant Change.

I found out what the issue was on trying to use the Airlift 550000 tool on the 2017 F150. It has a vent hole in the bottle where the cap seals and you are supposed to use the tool without any of the adapters to get it to work. Fordtechmakuloco responded to my post on his video of him using...

    What happened to Snap-On Trucks?

I see Snap On trucks around here all of the time but none of the other main players such as Matco or Cornwell. The only Snap On stuff I have is some of their pliers.

    Post Your Latest Coolant Change.

2017 F150 5.0L V8. Partially flushed out the original orange coolant with two gallons of distilled water and then added about 5 quarts of Motorcraft yellow concentrate coolant. Tried using my new Airlift 550000 coolant refill tool but couldn't get it to pull a vacuum at all. Not sure what...

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

I have the Robinair version of this tool and used it today to check the concentration. I had to read the instructions on how to use it. It's pretty neat and it said that my concentration was good to -40 degrees F.

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

Well, the airlift tool was a total bust. Would not pull down into a vacuum at all and we have a big air compressor. I ended up using my Lisle no spill funnel.

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

In the process of doing the coolant change on my fiancé's truck. I drained the initial amount out and got out right under 6 quarts out of the 16 quarts it holds. I refilled the tank twice so far with distilled water and each time I'm only able to add 3/4 of a gallon and nowhere close to 6...

    2004 4Runner - 1 cyl low compression

He should find someone with a pressure transducer to put in the low cylinder. They should be able to tell if it's a valve issue and which one.

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

The Innova Scanners are pretty limited in the info they provide. I have the 5610 and it doesn't read all of the modules on modern vehicles. I know that my Thinktool Pros would have actual and desired fuel pressure for that car. Maybe your Torque Pro does have the information somewhere.

I could use some help interpreting Torque app data

The main job of the long term fuel trim is to keep the short term fuel trim as close to 0% as possible. The main job of the STFT is to keep the O2 sensor near stoichiometric. +/- 10% fuel trims are considered normal for most systems. You need to use a good scan tool to see what the desired...

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

I may do this version since it will not take out all of the old coolant but enough to have more of the new stuff in than old.

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

I have the Robinair version of this tool which I will use when I'm done.

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

I have done this method in the past and it is time consuming for sure. My main concern like I originally posted is that the radiator holds less than the stated capacity of the system so even if I use 100% concentrate to fill the radiator back up, I will still have more water than coolant in the...

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

I do have the Lisle coolant funnel kit as well as an Airlift 550000 cooling system kit which I plan on using on this truck. Since the two coolants are supposedly compatible, I'm thinking of just draining the radiator and putting in a 50/50 mix of the yellow coolant and distilled water and...

Does a strut bar with 2 mounting holes per strut tower worth it?

The one I have on my Cavalier came off of a 94 Z24. Nice to know they fit other GM models.

What would be the best way to do this coolant flush?

My fiance's 2017 F150 with the 5.0L is due for a coolant change. It has the old orange coolant which is no longer available so I will use the new recommended yellow coolant. The system holds 15.9 quarts. From everything I have read, a radiator drain only gets out about 1.5 gallons. If I do...

Does a strut bar with 2 mounting holes per strut tower worth it?

The factory strut tower brace for my 2014 Mustang GT only has two holes per side. Same with the factory one I have on my 92 Cavalier.

    Truck update

Sorry to hear about the truck. That sucks. I would hate to have to buy a new truck these days. Prices are insane.
