Why be concerned about 0-16 oil. It is just that close to 0-20 oil that proved to be good in a properly made motor. Looks like with advance metallurgy and better metal milling techniques, tolerances are getting tight and 0-16 oil is what needed. use with confidence.

Clevy, Very good point. That is why I am thinking to use full synthetic with a robust add on package. Have not decided which one thou. Have to do more research. Primary candidates are Penzoil platinum, M1, and Castrol Edge with Titanium.

Well, I have 2008 gs350 with 3.5 l engine, almost same as is350. This is not just simply upturned engine. Toyota mod it so much, that it is no longer run of the mill 3.5. Said that, it is still not too hard on oil.

Thanks for the reply. I also incline to use synthetic, just hate to waist money on something I would not get full use of it. The only thing is concerns me is that Lexus 3,5 liter engine is high performance and I'm not sure how easy it is on oil.
