    Maxlife Synth Consumption

My F150 did the same thing with the thicker Redline 5W20. I was amazed and quickly put something else in there.

Who makes the 80w90 gear oil GM dealers sell

Yes, it is Mobil. You think $14 is bad for a bottle of conventional? Try $25-$30 for a bottle of synthetic! I can get 3 bottles of RP MaxGear for the same or even less vs 1 bottle of GM gear lube( synthetic ). When I had my Chevy trucks I always bought RP. $9 a bottle vs $25-$30 and a better...

Big Lots having a sale on damaged oil.

Big Lots is having a sale on store brand oil, and the bottles are all damaged from shipping. $0.25/bottle with a mail-in rebate for $0.50. Seems like a good deal; I get double my money back. They also have store brand filters for next to nothing: $0.68 each. One filter should do me for a 7500...

    Which is a better deal?

If you're going to install the very cheapest oil and filter money can buy, why even bother changing your oil at all? Just top it off and forget about it. That'll save you the most money.

So what real differences are there between....

Spend as little money as you can. It all comes from the same barrel, all are treated with the same additives. Also, spend as little as you can on your oil filter, too.
