Went down to the dealer yesterday and was informed that this oil is no longer being sold. Am I the first to notice this? I have not been reading too much about this recently and was surprised to find out as I thought it was relatively popular on the forums here a few years ago.

Also make sure the pulleys are properly aligned. I've had to adjust the bracket for the tensioner pulley to get it in line so that the belt doesn't want to skip off. Usually an adjustable wrench is good enough to tweak the bracket.

We've sprayed silicone spray on our seals two to three times per year on our 1982 BMW and 1993 Chevy and the seals are still supple and black. No complaints here with that method.

I know this is simple so chances are it was obvious enough to check - but did you make sure the intake for the blower impeller itself was clear?

Not according to a patch of my driveway.
