    Delo400/delvacMX

Last question as I have pretty much exhausted my options. I been reading a lot of people use caltex delo for their turbo diesel motors... Is there any difference between that and delvac MX? I found something online called oils aint oils or something and it talked about wear marks/scuffing and...

    Mobil Delvac - 3 options?

So the difference is not in how well one protects but rather how long it does it for before needing to be changed? Essentially saying they work the same one just works longer... I spoke to Mobil they told me the ESP 1 used ij trucking companies change every 30-40,000 km (25,000 miles)? They...

    Mobil Delvac - 3 options?

So I am not going to get any added benefits, better protection or longer OCI with the MX ESP or the M1 ESP over the regular MX?

    Mobil Delvac - 3 options?

How much extra mileage would I get from the 5w 40 - Mobil 1 Delvac ESP over the MX? It is nearly 3x the price, is it gonna give me 3-4x the mileage before needing to be changed? Here is M1 Delvac <a...

    Mobil Delvac - 3 options?

Hey, I know this is similar to last thread but I guess I narrowed it down to Mobil Delvac. For the older engine 1988-89 ISUZU 4bd1 (going to turbo it in future) - I was looking at Mobil Delvac range just because I can get it pretty cheap compare to other oils and I have read a lot of good...

    5w-30 versus 0w-40?

In really hot climates the engine will know the difference between the 5w30 and 0w40. I had a mechanic tell me once "You need thicker oil, then the oil leak may stop because your engine is older the 0w 40 is no good as it is designed for tight tolerance motors" (Mechanic of over 30 years...

    ISUZU 3.9l Diesel 4bd1

Thanks for that. Locally i can get Mobile delvac 1 ESP, Delvac MX ESP, Delvac MX. The esp versions seem to be for engines eith EGR CAT DPF etc where as this 1989 diesel does not have any of that. Having said that the esp does have much longer drain intervals so the extra cost of it would be...

Is OEM Air Filter the "BEST"?

In short, no they are not the best. They are the cheapest to manufacture though, so over Billions of cars produced... think about every dollar you save over that amount of vehicles. There are filters that provide better filtration and air flow than OEM and are reusable.

    Verdict: Best air filter?

Depends what you need as to what is best. If you need max air flow, K&N or others made similar would be at the top. If engine protection is needed... yes I hear people say MAF sensors get stuffed and other people say thats user error because there are thousands of happy customers using K&N...

    Foam Filter

I'm gonna order the filter. Will see for myself. A part number has been found that will fit my vehicle. I spoke to 4x4 owners down here that go off roading on a regular basis, they have used K&N, Uni and OEM paper filters. They said the K&N filters were the worst. Dust was found in behind the...

    K&N Air Filter

So what do you do with this? "Thank you for contacting K&N. All of our filters are made to meet or exceed OEM specs. That is the only thing we can go off" I asked them how good it filters down, and thats the response.
