Is there any harm to the engine when switching back and forth between a thick and think oil? Could consumption occur?

Does it burn any oil? Might want to change the PCV valve.

Could it be a bad intake gasket causing idle hunting?

I would stick with Denso with the corolla. Bosch's give problems on toyotas for some reason. Also, the front 02 sensor on an 05+ corolla is an AFR sensor.

I got my WP replaced on my 05 corolla, I had a coolant loss and heavy chalky pink deposits on the underside of the pump, which was replaced under warranty. It seems the water pumps on these engines are not the greatest. I know on the corolla forums, they are a known problem.

What is the life expectancy of the bulbs? I assume it is less than OEM.

GM is due up on June 1st.

What will happen to the Vibe? Any chance toyota will absorb it or just make the Matrix?

Were you driving through a puddle at all? I had my serp belt slip one time, apparently the puddle was deeper than I thought and splashed on my belt. Besides the rain, my serp belt was deflecting from my [censored] tensioner. Might be something to check.

Plug is on the pan, on the corolla/matrix it is a 14 mm plug, just like the oil drain plug.

In PA emissions and inspection is around $50.
