Reports are that people have completely solved their shift problems with this transmission by running Premium gasoline. That simple. The poor shifting appears to be a computer/software issue, and the higher octane seems to solve the problem.

Question regarding NAPA and CARQUEST. Both of these seem to cater to mechanics, and are a step above Autozone and OReillys. Do NAPA and CARQUEST have almost the same suppliers, and sell almost the exact same parts (but under their own brand name)?

I've actually had very good results with Bosch Sparkplug Wires that I bought at autozone. They were reasonably priced, and there have been no problems with them--they don't have the bad reputation that Bosch Spark Plugs have.

I don't doubt that Amsoil is a quality ATF--probably better than Dexron VI. That said, I don't know if Amsoil is SUBSTANTIALLY better than Dexron VI, so to warrant its high cost. If I am not mistaken, isn't Mobil 1 ATF just as good as Amsoil (similar add pack, similar base oils) and for a few...
