Just use a ch-4 oil. T6 or tdt would work great.

Thank you for the input. I'll do as you suggested and pull a UOA around 5k to see where we're at. I'll leave the oil in and wait for results. If they're good, repeat around 7500. Then again at 10k, if the results show it's possible. I like the idea of trying to find the best quality full...

Well, decided to try 5w-20 and see what happens. "Winter" is finally here. I had to get the Rotella 15w-40 out of it. Went with Quaker State Green Bottle.

Wow, oil is getting expensive now! I have a 2001 Galant with a 2.0. The manual calls for 10w-30. This same engine is also used in the Lancer. In that car it calls for 5w-20. Would it be incorrect for me to believe that I could use 5w-20?

What would bring you to make that choice? You're talking a modified basestock(RT6) vs a synthetic basestock(TDT)

Why not throw Rotella, Delo, or Delvac in it? Those are much more cost effective options and will clean the engine nicely.

just Google dry film lubricant and take your pick. I personally like chain lube with PTFE in it. works great on my ATV and motorcycle le chain, door hinges, fishing reel bearings, etc...
