I have the G015's on my f150. Was reccomended them by my local mom and pop tire store. They are a great tire, handle good in the snow and rain. Will be buying them again.
I have an 07 with 66k on it and an 08 with 191k on it, both with the 5.4. The 08 have the timing set, oil pump, etc changed by fordtechmakuloco at 160k. If it's been maintained and has a clean body I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
I can remember using low ash oil back in the early 1990s. Is it still available? We just use caseih 15w40 in everything now regardless of color or age.
I just changed the rear diff oil on my F150 a few weeks ago and put in valvoline 75w140 with friction modifier already in it. Anticipated having to add more but ended not needing to.
No difference in having a 4wd truck. I wouldn't own one without it. Doesn't get used that often, but I was sure glad I had it when I drove across Nevada in a snow storm in I80 last month.
I'm right there with you, have been looking to fly out to San Francisco to see my brother in March. Can drive it for about 1/4 of what it would cost to fly 4 of us. Absolutely crazy.
Where are you all getting hair cuts at to pay that kind of money? I go to my local barber shop in a small farm town in Indiana, pay $11, and usually give $3 tip. He's always busy, usually have 4-5 people in line ahead of me when I go.
