If I understand this right 10w is when the oil is cold and the 30 is the viscosity when it’s at operating temperature, let’s say 190 degrees. My question is how long does the oil stay at 10 . My truck probably takes 6 miles to get the temp all the way up.

Yes I've used some of the Rotella oils in my tractor and some old generators I mess with it's good oil. I may start using it in my mower.

Thank you for your answers. Maybe I should have said any oil , why is it so hard to know what's inside ? I guess black stone is the answer.

Why is it so hard to find out how much zinc is in different kinds of oils ? I'm trying to find out about bad boy mower Synthetic blend 10w 30.
