Has anyone else noticed that Castrol has issued new MSDSs for their German produced 0W-30 and 0W-40 products? The latest documents indicate >=25%-<=50% PAO where prior to last week they showed >=50%-<=75% PAO.

I’m inclined to agree with WEBFORS, as long as wear remains low, the rest is minutia. I’m planning to continue with M1 TDT as it’s readily available and my fuel mileage has averaged around 30 MPG, which I can’t complain about. Thanks for your feedback!!

Just to clarify my daubts regarding fuel dilution. 95%+ of this vehicle's mileage is at freeway speeds. I drive a minimum of 170 miles per day.

With only a trace of fuel, so that makes no sense. This engine is a well known "Shear Monster"...

I've been running Mobil 1 TDT 5W40 in my Audi 2.0 FSI Turbo engine (which is a shear monster) and it's been shearing out of grade after 5K miles. As I drive roughly 6K miles per month (mostly highway), I'm very interested in extended drains. Do you think Delvac 1 would be worth a try? Thanks...

Remember, the purpose of higher viscosity is to reduce wear. So, as long as wear rates remain low, I'm going to stick with Mobil1 TDT.
