Love the Nokian Entyre 2.0s I have on the VW Jetta. All season but have felt great in rain and light snow so far.

If I happen to see or hear a big one and can get at it walking by the car, I'll pull it out - but certainly don't go looking for em!

Great little car. We had that and the sister Rio. Same engine, and I believe a Mitsubishi transmission. Rock solid across the board. If you get the hatchback (you should if you can) oodles of space and cargo nearly compact SUV levels. Highly recommend as a value buy and a great choice for a used...

No beating Nokian in the snow.

I test drove one last year for nearly an hour. I really, really liked it. Quick off the line, comfortable, and utilitarian. With the right rebates and situation for someone with the charging capacity/commute I would go for it.

I emphasize brand more than I should - but I also look at how they develop their tires, test them, design, make them, and everything else. It's not a healthy obsession but it sure as [censored] is fun!

Congrats on the terrific ride. A lot of your review rings true with what we've seen as my family has shifted to VW in the past year. Great mileage, comfortable, but you can drive these cars versus Toyota/Honda appliances that drive you.

Best bet might be a 2017 Corolla at a rental dealer. I've seen them down close to 10 at this point. A Yaris is also an option. Barring Toyota keep an eye out for a Subaru Legacy with eyesight (2015) if lucky or a VW Jetta/Passat, although probably won't see 10K.

I hear good things about the Crossclimates but my WRG3s are past 35K and still solid. Only reason I might lose them soon is for a new car with WRG4s <img src="/forums/graemlins/banana2.gif" alt="banana" title="banana" height="35" width="33" />

Brought home from the hospital in a 1984 Subaru GL wagon. Loved that car. Always has been a Subaru in the family since then. Spent time in the later years in a 1990ish Dodge Caravan, 1988 Dodge Caravan, 1987 Subaru DL wagon, 1988 Subaru Leone, 1999 Subaru Impreza.

The Nokian WRGs are perfect for Boston area driving as they are tremendous during winter months and fine the rest of the year. More so if you're not putting a ton of miles on a set. Otherwise I like the eNTYRE 2.0s thus far.

Thanks for the great review. We just picked up the VW JEtta but at some point we're going to upgrade the Rio and Mini is on the shortlist along with a Golf.
