    Overdosing gasoline

Can anyone come up with real ingredient numbers for what is used in 'Top Tier' gasoline vs the same numbers on regular gasoline? Different additives? In my limited research, all I can find is 'Top tier has more/better additives', no actual data. If verifiable numbers are not available, to my...

bp 93 octane = white gas?????????

Amoco premium 'white' gas, in the late '50s and part of the '60s, did contain lead. My dad owned an Amoco station during that period. I seem to remember the tetraethel? tag on the pumps.

    Mechanic Rip Off

I have 3 vehicles, Subaru SW, Ford Ranger, and a '76 Corvette. About 15 years ago I found a local garage that had all the Hi-Tech equipment to service my newer cars. 99% of the Corvette work I do myself. It is not that the garage can not do it, it's because I like to work on my 'vette. Both...

    Underdog or darkhorse collectible cars...

1958 Chrysler 300 D. Last of the original 392 hemis. My favorite, which I could not afford, was the 1956-57 Lincoln MK 2(I think that is the correct Mark for those years). I don't see very many for sale.

    Your insurance

Erie insurance on 2 daily drivers and home. 30 years without a problem. For collector cars, I use Hagerty. They have AGREED value policies. Regular policies from the State Farms of the world only offer stated value or book value. There is a difference! Check it out.

I was in middle/upper plant management for 35 years. My last position was production manager/labor relations. My union employees were not over paid, at least the ones who believed a fair days work for a fair days pay. 98-99% of the union employees, in the three different plants I was...

Just purchased a 75 Corvette, what oil for it?

I run a modified '76 SB Corvette. It has a flat tappet cam, as does your '75. Even though yours is stock, I would recommend running oil with at least 1000ppm ZDDP. I use Valvoline VR1 10W30. About $4 at my local NAPA parts store.
