    Are you a oil hoarder?

I haven't had a large stash since the Pep Boys coupon debacle of 2005. All that Buy 3, get 3 Free Mobil 1 was finally exhausted a few years ago.

Anything to help a new mower run on low oil?

It's a 2004 10323 with the DuraForce 2 stroke. The carb float is sticking along with a possibly warped carb. I'm sure a simple carb replacement will have it running again, but I just don't have the desire to sink any more money into it.

Anything to help a new mower run on low oil?

I ended up adding about 14 oz of some Pennzoil Platinum 10W-30 that I had open. The crankcase takes 20 oz. The mower started right up. No smoke at all through the muffler. I put my hand there and felt no oil on my hand. The old Lawnboy it is replacing would be broadcasting the fuel/oil mixture...

Anything to help a new mower run on low oil?

The Toro website and the dealer I visited while looking both indicated the engine is a Toro branded engine. I'm sure someone in China produces it, but I don't know who.

Maybe I'll run some dino 30W for the first use, then change to the RP. Hate wasting the good stuff.

Anything to help a new mower run on low oil?

I bought a like new Toro Super Recycler SR4 90381 off of craigslist. He bought it online and only used once or twice. He did not attach the bolts to secure the handle to the mower, so it was awkward to use and he gave up. Oil was very low in the machine. It did not reach the dipstick, but when...

    Microfiber towels

I have a bunch of microfiber towels of various types, weights and quality. They are used for detailing only. I have no idea why they would be around metal or even wood shavings. I have towels dedicated for exterior and interior use. They even get washed separately. All of the wax/polish/wash...

    Valentines Day

The wife tells me not to buy flowers for her since they are so overpriced. I buy them plenty of times throughout the season. I'll be cooking a nice dinner, making some chocolate covered strawberries and set up the good china in the formal dining room. It may be a manufactured holiday, but it's...

    Cruise Ship Adrift...

We took our first cruise on that ship back in September. I think it was scheduled to be put into dry dock this month and completely upgraded.I guess that timeline will be moved up a bit.

    Diets,supplements,and exercise data.

I started working out in May of 2011 when my 5'10.5" self hit a whopping 221.5 pounds on the scale. I've done two rounds of P90X and a Hybrid Round of P90X and TurboFire. I'm two weeks into my first round of P90X2. I don't have updated pictures ready, but this is from November when I hit 180...

    grandfather in the hospital

I unfortunately know what you are going through. We had my wife's parents, brother and grandparents fly in for Christmas. This was Grandpas' first flight ever. The flight went well. They arrived on the 22nd. On the 23rd, he got a little dizzy and fell backwards in his hotel room. He rested for a...

    Generator Recommendation

We lost power during Ike and I was finally able to get a B&S 5,500 Watt portable unit to get us by until the power came back. It is a basic model and loud, but gets the job done. I installed a ten circuit transfer switch to handle the power transfer. It's nice not having to run extension cords...

    weight watchers program

A good friend of mine lost 150 lbs doing Weight Watchers. He's kept it off and his doctor actually wanted him to gain 10 pounds back. I hit 221.5 lbs on the scale and started to change my life in May. I dusted off the P90X DVD's and actually did the workouts for a period longer than three...

Wife bought a cedar chest, questions

Rockler or Woodcraft would be the best choice since you can actually see the veneer. I'd even take the chest into the store and get one of the employees to help you out. They'll see if they have the right veneer and tell you what you need to fix it.

    Does Conventional Pennzoil cause sludge?

I was in a local oil change place here (company car, not mine) and while I was waiting, a service guy told a customer to avoid Pennzoil because it was full of wax. the service tech was in his early twenties if that. I told him he was incorrect, but he replied with "When you work here as long as...

    Washing a black car questions.

By the way, you don't wear down a clear coat by washing the car. Don't worry about that. Just wash it in the shade or on an overcast day. Keep it waxed and you will be fine.
