    *NEW* Peak BlueDEF Platinum

Technically DEF is not Urea it is Ammonia or NH3. Urea is CO(NH2)2.

    *NEW* Peak BlueDEF Platinum

I would shy away from any DEF that claims to have additives. DEF should nothing but pure ammonia and de ionized water. Peak is actually of the brands that we have the most issues with.

    Kubota L175 Tranny/Hydraulic Fluid

You can use UDT or an equivalent but original spec was SAE 80 gear lube.

    Volvo Penta marine yellow coolant

I would suspect it is a Chevron product. Most likely XLC with a different dye package.

looking hydraulic fluid for a vovlo ec210c iso 46 any type ?

It is more about higher viscosity and improved film thickness at operating temp, than cold flow properties. The oil they recommend is more like a multi-grade hydraulic oil, ISO 46 cold viscosity and ISO 68 when hot. Have you checked the price of oil at the dealership? It may not be much...

Cleaning Coated Cast Iron Grill Grates

Go the hardware store and get a bottle of lye ( drain cleaner). You may have to ask for it as some places keep it behind the counter thanks to the meth cookers. Mix a cup in a couple gallons of water and soak for a few days. You black stuff will brush right off.

Pies: which ones do you love?

Blackberry and Elderberry are on the top of the list but I like most any pie. The GF makes em all from scratch. She used to sell baked goods and vegetables at the farmers market until the Amish moved in and flooded the market.

Is it bad to move a hydraulic attachment back and forth quickly?

Yes the mechanical linkage will take the most of the abuse but over time it can have detrimental effects on check valves and such.

Can you recommend a good torque angle gauge

I always marked the socket and made a reference mark on whatever I am working on not the bolt head. It is much easier to see the marks and how far you have to go to meet the angle requirement. We also often used an impact to make the turn as torques on larger fasteners can get quite high. Also...

    Tire Pressure Sensors

The new Volvo's work off from the wheel speed sensors. I am not sure what year they started but the 2018 V60 I drive has it. There is a calibration process to calculate offsets in RPM's due to varying tire sizes. The system will not respond to quick changes in wheel speed such as cornering but...

    DEF accident in motor oil

I have had to deal with a number of cases where an end user put DEF into the fuel tank and yes it should not be possible but if people can screw up something up they will. Several times these repairs have topped $30k in fuel system repairs. Other times they have gotten away with just flushing...

Wet brake oil in ltd slip diff

Every UTF I have ever seen or used is rated GL4. You need a GL5 rated fluid. Tractors do not use a hypoid differential gear set. I believe the problem with MOS2 is that it will embed in the friction material and modify the characteristics causing the LSD to perform differently than designed...

    Piecing together bypass kit.

Because a bypass filter is intended to bypass a small amount of oil through the filter and return it to sump. Bypass filters are generally very flow restrictive. They rely on high pressure differential to work properly. They are not designed for nor should they be used in a full flow setup which...
