    New Beretta 92fs

Yep. Herters for $8.99 a box at Cabelas or any other flavor you want for $2-3 more. I mean why the heck not. Bulk was probably even cheaper. Then again, components were dirt cheap too. Wasn’t uncommon for me to get away with $0.10 a round for any popular pistol caliber. I think that’s when I...

    Havoline Synthetic - 6 Quarts - $14.98 After Rebate

Didn’t know Havoline suddenly became a whipping boy. Bought a bunch in 2020 when the 6 qt Synthetic boxes went on clearance due to an artwork change (so stupid) for like $11.00 a box. Have run it exclusively in my Lexus RX and ES since then. Quiet, soft running oil in an already quiet car. I...

New to Diesel HDEO - Ram 3500 pulling RV

I was looking at huge buckets of diesel oil, did not see that HDEO is actually cheaper and in smaller quantities. I had some 5w40 Castrol and Mobil 1 on hand, that’s why I was asking about them. Of course I don’t want to hurt my truck, that’s also why I was asking. Thanks to those who have...

New to Diesel HDEO - Ram 3500 pulling RV

Thanks again for all the suggestions! Not to go full retard, but can I use a really stout PCMO in a Diesel engine? Like a 5w40 Castrol Gold Bottle or Mobil 1? Just my brain and wallet thinking…

New to Diesel HDEO - Ram 3500 pulling RV

Yes I should mention we will be above freezing (bottom half of the country) 90% of the time. So 15wXX won’t be too heavy then?

 That used to be grossly overpriced

New to Diesel HDEO - Ram 3500 pulling RV

I can tell ya all day about PCMO, but this is a new realm for me. We pull a 44’ fifth wheel across 3-5 states every three months and wife uses the pickup as a daily driver. Truck is a 2017 Ram 3500 LL with the 6.7L. There are 80,000 miles on it. I assume synthetic given the circumstances, and...

    BFG G-Force Comp-2 A/S vs Continental TrueContact

Hey guys, sorry, in a change of events I may be going with some Michelins as they don’t have to be ordered/waited on and my DT is offering $150 off a set of 4. Probably gonna stick with Defenders. Question is : the new fangled Defender 2s or the old Defender T+H? Hmmm.

    BFG G-Force Comp-2 A/S vs Continental TrueContact

Putting these onto an ES350, gonna be living in Texas soon. I realize the BFG are ultra performance and the Contis are a touring tire, but I can’t seem to decide between them. Either one are about $140/tire give or take. Road noise and comfort are important, but so are handling and tread...

Traded in 2 Guns for One

Yep I definitely have never had a slide bite in my life and had to look up what “riding the slide” is because I’ve never done it. I think it’s just a POS.

    New Beretta 92fs

Yeah that’s exactly what I meant. Standard cap for them has been 15. Most striker fired equivalents hold more than that for a lighter gun, take a Glock 17 for instance. If I remember right, unloaded, a 92 weighs 34 oz. A G22 weighs about 25. Quite a difference there.

What is going on with oil prices?

That’s why you buy on sale and stock up sir! Still got some Castrol Edge I bought in 2015.

Ruger LCP II vs. LCP max in 380

Thanks for that. Yep I’ve spoken to a couple reps and they assure me it’s magazine related, and if I wanted to send my gun in it would be an 8 week turnaround. I guess I could ask again to see if their wait time improved.

Traded in 2 Guns for One

Congrats OP, lots of people like them. I got a dud LCP Max, never makes it through a magazine and is horribly inaccurate. It’s one of those “put together 10 minutes before lunch break by a diabetic” guns. Maybe I’ll sell it to a gunsmith someday. My Hellcat 9mm does pretty well. Springfield...

    New Beretta 92fs

It’s that low bore axis. I personally like it, it’s my favorite feature on Glocks besides the aftermarket support (is that a “feature”?). I’ve shot one or two 92s that were not sighted right from the factory. My first one was like that. Always shot 3-4” low. You might have tried a stinker.

    New Beretta 92fs

They’re heavy and undercapped for the modern sidearm category, but you will never find a sweeter pistol to shoot. The Military 96 is surprisingly soft too, it’s my favorite gun of all time. I have guns from all brands, most are reliable and accurate, but none of them are dripping with mojo like...

Ruger LCP II vs. LCP max in 380

I’ve heard of issues with the G42 with others, but to me personally it’s a fairy tale. I’ve not had a single malfunction with mine. I personally shoot it better than 80% of my guns, it’s on my cold-dead-hands list. However.,The LCP Max I bought has never made it through a full magazine. At...
