If it were me, I'd be buying two Autel Maxi AP200's from Amazon and then the TPMS sensors for $27.99/each from an autoparts store like @FowVay suggested. It'll fix your TPMS problem and you'll have the tools to diagnose other parts of your cars from...

    VP Cooldown

System was not flushed. Just removed some coolant before treating to prevent overfilling. This car has a capacity of 5.2L and 150.8mL of DOMINATOR is required

This is going to be my 3rd year using the Amsoil version. The car warms up faster. My goal was a little different - got heat to come out of the vents a little faster.

Canadian Cyber Monday deal: 20% off oil analysis kits

It's too bad the American Cummins website is sold out of oil test kits, they have the sale too. To those taking advantage - Be sure to download the Polaris Horizon app as it works great Instead of submitting everything by hand, you can do it with your phone. Once results are ready, you'll...

Canadian Cyber Monday deal: 20% off oil analysis kits

Cummins sells Polaris Oil Analysis Kits. Polaris is the same lab company who analyses for Amsoil / Oil Analyzers and a bunch of others. They're one of the good ones when it comes to testing fuel % in the oil. The AMP kit includes TBN. For Cyber Monday - Cummins Canada has 20% off their...

From what I understand, the "free" registration is forever but tied to the original phone or tablet you use to register. Maybe if you add another make, you have to pay per year. Instead of paying yearly fees, just buy a second Autel MP200 for another $50.

I might have a great recommendation. Amazon sells the Autel AP200 for around $50 https://www.amazon.com/Autel-AP200-Bluetooth-Professional-Automotive/dp/B07QD4GZW4 With this device, you can only register one brand (ex: if you register Honda, it'll only work with Honda). I think it's also...

    Cyber Monday

If anyone else is eyeing the 5 gallon pails, I came across this video which seems really helpful. The idea doesn't seem so intimidating anymore.

    Optima Yellow Batteries

I bought an Odyssey for my BMW. It failed after two years and getting a replacement from the authorized dealer was impossible. Had to call Enersys, Odyssey's manufacturer who ended up helped out. After that experience, I'd rather buy Costco's AGM. The "no questions asked" customer service...

    Storing snow tires

Trying out a new solution this year for my two sets. Bought the largest sized vacuum sealed storage bags - 110cm x 100cm. To remove the air, it comes with a manual pump or an attachment for portable dyson vacuums. Bags are advertised to be reusable but that remains to be seen. Total cost...

Canadian Walmart: $21 USD equivalent for Mobil 1

At least in my region (Ontario and Québec), motor oils are considered grocery items on the Walmart.ca website. Consider signing up for a free grocery pickup. They give out introductory coupons and later on they might send more promotional coupons. The current coupon saves you $15 on the 3rd...

Bought out our Nissan Lease - VERY difficult!

Not applicable for Canadians. Couldn't do this with Honda Finance Canada after my HRV lease was completed in 2020. I tried so hard. After all the attempts, they mailed back my cheque for the final value and said no matter what - you have to buy out the lease from the dealer with dealer fees...

    blower motor brand to buy?

According to a few websites, there's a equivalent part number that's been discontinued - 5NEH19805AD. Made by Siemens. Lots of used units on eBay but for what they're selling for, dealer still sounds best. Guaranteed compatibility and a 1 year warranty. edit: the Siemens is still being sold...

Here's a photo of the OEM Brose is the brand. Doesn't look like they make aftermarket so buying from a dealer might be best.

So the 2011 Frontier and 2008 Xterra use the same model VDO blower motor - made in China.

    blower motor brand to buy?

Surprised about the VDO/Continental comments on here. Guess it depends where it's made. Replaced the blower on my HRV. The VDO was made in Japan and blows harder than the original. Original was a Denso, made in Mexico.
