Well, having put some KM on her, I can say the engine noise at cold start (usually LS piston slap) is at least 80% quieter and when hot motor sounds much tighter and less noisy overall. Oil psi is slightly higher, and she seems happy <img src="/forums/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="smile"...

If its good enough for KITT, its good enough for me! For the cost of it to me, Its worth doing the M1 AP filter, M1 0w40 every fall the day before storage. Good protection Thanks all!

Changed things up after some reading. 2017 Civic HB 1.5T GDI - 6 Speed

I agree, With her highway miles, the car would get approx : 15,000km on an oil change approx 10,000Mi - which to be is a no no on these engines. SO I always dump it and new filter at 50% - leave MM runing and do suggested maint at 15% oil life then do a reset on it. Even in dead of winter, when...

    2017 Civic HB 1.5T GDI - 6 Speed

Sounds good, so its looking like some Castrol Edge 0w20 will be going in. If Honda updates their Syn 0w20 I'll switch it back as I work here and all, but SN plus to me is a better bet in this engine.

Thanks I figure with the early OCI's I do, and her driving habits any oil would likely perform O.K, but I know the bottled Honda oil here is SM rated.. so I want to switch I just want to use something...
