In 95 I was attending a local diesel course and the instructor who claimed to have a long history in gas engines as well was asked what he thought of synthetic oil.     Thats something I have always said, not only that but I have not seen any evedince that anyone actually know what base oil syntec actually is and I have asked in the past. The only people who actualy know prob. dont want to say anything for legal reasons. Good luck...

    nissan frontier

    I agree with Dave H I have a Nissan Titan 5.6l and it really likes GC. It is also recomended in my service manual to run a reg. oil so dont sweat it.

    Without knowing what was used at that mi I would use a good dino and change frequently good luck with the Nissan always made great engines.

    OK here is what I did I was going to change the transfer case fluid out of my pick up at 20k mi it has a it required a star bit for the (T-55 I beleive) fill and drain holes. I tryied to get the fill plug out first thank *** because I couldt get it to budge and eventually stripped it out...

    Got Casrol Syntech 5W40. Any good?

    That stuff is junk man, you will be spittin pistons all over the track.> J/K I think it is very good oil that just doesnt have the following of GC. Since I have a big problem buying anything from mobile right now. I would really like to see some more options for the 5w40 guys.
