Teflon is bad for engines so that turned it into just another thick oil additive. I use it to coat prover balls when doing water draws so they slide better.

Most small engines are aluminum bore. Some have liners. Would be more beneficial to just make sure both valves are closed if it sets for a while. Throwing it under marginal cover and changing the oil every now and then will make it last longer than you care to use it so anything more is overkill.

Wood heating is a commitment and not much of a money saver if you include your time. Hope you have close access to lots of wood.

Could be millions of gallons ruined. 50,000 gallons is a small amount in this industry. The stuff that made it to the stations will probably be sold as transmix for pennies on the dollar. The stuff still in the terminal will be blended off most likely. They said it came from a terminal...

It takes a large amount of diesel to contaminate gas at a terminal to the point there is a problem at stations. Stupid thing is it was probably some valve that doesn't get moved very often and broke or was forgotten about. Or they knew it was broke and had a bandaid on it that didn't get put...

I have seen a lot of parts in taxis or hot shot that should have been in a warehouse onsite. Lots of downtime waiting for a belt or a coupling while hundreds of thousands of dollars are lost.

There is a reason domestic mini trucks are nowhere or idiotic. No one wants a old school Ranger or S10 and the chicken tax killed the rest. The people that buy new vehicles want a spacious luxury vehicle with 600HP so that is what is sold.
