It’s beyond me why M+H is still using the black glue of death and it appears to be spreading to more of their filter lines….we’ve seen it come out of drain pans so it’s certainly circulating through the engine. I’d bet VVT screens are catching some.

You’re adding too many variables to the equation IMO. Finish with the Restore and Protect and if you have no improvement try the other stuff.

My guess is some factories supply both PGI and HW depending on application.
