    2020 3.0l duramax

No it's not. A friend of mine who's a 26 year GM Master Tech said that #1, 90% of the original owners won't even own the truck when that INSPECTION interval comes and #2, it'll probably be raised to 200k. Also, even without doing one yet, he said that on a lift with a tech who knows what...

AC/Delco light duty diesel oil 0w-20

You must hit a button at every startup. People make a big deal of it, however once it becomes routine (as in click belt, click switch) it's not a big deal.

AC/Delco light duty diesel oil 0w-20

Where's that paycheck??? It's a great engine with VERY few issues according to both myself (owner with 13k on my AT4) and a friend who's a master tech at the local GM dealership. No issues in the sub zero temps either. This is a BRAND NEW engine designed in Italy, tested in Germany and now...

    AC Delco Dexos D

I'm so concerned with it I totally ignore it. I use Schaeffer's 0w-20 and sleep easy. 11k miles so far, so good!lol!

    AC Delco Dexos D

It's also used in the I6 but can be disabled but must be done every drive cycle which is a PITA until it becomes an item on the normal start up checklist. For me it's fire it up, open the mirrors, disable the SS and go!

    AC Delco Dexos D

I live in the northwoods of Wisconsin. I'm not really concerned with it. Besides, we haven't had a "harsh" winter here (temp wise) in a number of years. The usual week of below 0 but nothing like it used to be. A dose of Lucas anti gel for the coldest days and it'll be just fine. We have...

    New diesel technology

That sign is SOOOO done. I just paid 10cents over unleaded filling up my 3.0l GMC AT4 yesterday at $1.97. Election year+COVID=wildly deflated gasoline prices. Just wait. It's coming....but they can't put the trucking industry out of business so....

    AC Delco Dexos D

I bought a 2020 AT4 with the 3.0l Duramax. So far it's a wonderful driving truck which easily hauls my 5100lb camper. Haven't even hit the first oil change. Oh...they spec'd a brand new filter to go along with the brand new oil. AC Delco PF66. I talked directly to Baldwin and they are in...

    Vintage Sinclair promo

Saw this while browsing through "Periscope films"(one of the best sites on YT for vintage documentaries)...Thought of the BITOG group! A little before my time but not by much!lol! I vividly remember full service stations. The "Arco" stations used to give out "Arks"(Noah's Arks) and every week...

    Oil temperature data

My 392 Hemi runs right around 210 or so most of the time under normal conditions regardless of ambient temp(however I don't drive my Challenger from Nov til April unless it's a dry cold day and the roads are clear). If I'm dropping the hammer a bit more it's up to 220 or so.

    Schaeffer 0W-40 for Mopar

Also, IRT their "Moly EP"...my engine builder and I both use it in an oil can as assembly lube for everything but the camshaft(if new) while assembling new or rebuilt lumps. Works well enough to have probably seen at least 500 engines through their original startup and break in(first couple...

New Hemi owner, new oil decisions

I'm running the "new" Schaeffers 0W-40. Seems to run very well, very quiet (no cold "Hemi Tick" for the most part) and still get very good MPG when I'm not dropping the hammer too much on my 6.4l 2018 T/A with 9k. I do 5k OCI's just because I don't put a lot of miles on it. It stays in the...

    PF RGT vs Mobil 1

Do people really get THAT excited about oil comparisons? It's all pretty much a crapshoot, luck and a little common sense in maintenance. After that...unless you're thrashing your engine, so long as it's spec'd for it...any oil most likely can/will allow it to run a good long time. No need...

    Schaeffer 0W-40 for Mopar

Went to the shop today to buy a Baldwin filter (B329) for my 392. While I was there I asked if they had any 0W-40 in stock. The owner called Schaeffer's directly to ask about it and he said it was just newly introduced into their line. Apparently the owner had recently purchased a Challenger...

    Oil for Daily Beater Camry

It's a "beater"...don't know why this is a question. Just buy the Supertech and don't worry. [censored]...I've used ST quite a number of times in my non "beater" Subaru and (as expected) never had any issues whatsoever.
