    07 Acura Tl-S 6MT Fluid Recommendations...

I'll probably swing for Syncromesh FM if I can find it locally. I'm fairly sure I can get Red Line fluids from Swerve locally. What one would be best? http://www.swervemotorsports.com/red_line_oils/red_line_synthetic_gear_oil/g-53347.aspx

    07 Acura Tl-S 6MT Fluid Recommendations...

Do Chevy dealers commonly carry the Syncromesh FM? Some people say its hard to get. Assuming its part #12377916, GMPartsEast has it for $9.50/qt and has reasonable shipping. That might just be the way to go, but it would be nice to just be able to stop off at a Chevy dealer and pick it up Monday.

    07 Acura Tl-S 6MT Fluid Recommendations...

I just picked up an 07 TL-S 6MT. 60,xxx miles, unknown trans fluid condition. What would be some recommended manual transmission fluids? I see a lot of people saying the GM Syncomesh Friction Modified makes the trans shift great.

I'm fairly sure it does not have any oil cooler. That'd be some serious wear on the main bearings. I would imagine it would be noticeable in the engines operation.

Copied from a post in another thread... I'm not sure if there is something 'wrong' with my engine, but I'm not terribly worried. It wouldn't be a big deal to just swap it with a $400 junkyard motor. I tend to drive the car hard, but easy at the same time. I'm not afraid to hit redline, and its...

The previous UOA with 3,297 miles on it was also with the same oil. They incorrectly assumed 5W-30 oil was used, so the viscosity was flagged. The first UOA was with Eneos 5W-30 synth blend. I don't plan on doing any more UOA's. The car might end up being electric within a year or two.

Oil filter with magnet = more efficient?

Here is a link to the UOA for this sample.... http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2396233&#Post2396233

I'm a bit happier with this sample, even if it was 'fooled' by my Filtermag RA300 trapping some of that ferrous metal. How is this looking? It's still nothing special, but not horrible at least? Here is a picture of what the magnet caught... Sure, some or most of this may have been trapped...

Oil filter with magnet = more efficient?

Here it is after sitting a day with all the oil off the side of the can. The magnet is removed, but the particles still stick. Its likely at least some of this would have been caught by the media, but its hard to tell exactly how much. At the very least, the magnet does help keep the pores of...

Oil filter with magnet = more efficient?

3,895 Miles, and this is what my RA300 picked up... A bit more than I expected. The magnet needed to be removed to get the filter off, and was moved around a lot cutting the filter open.

    02 Honda Accord V6 4AT... Fluid Recommendation?

I suppose I will try out DW-1 for my next fill... Any reason to 'flush' the old fluid out, by means of a dirty bucket, and a clean bucket filled with DW-1? Or would a regular D&F be the best bet? The fluid only has 3K on it right now.
