    Mobil 1 threatened by SuperTech!

I bought a couple ESP 0W-30 5qt jugs for my wife's 1.3L Trailblazer. I saw that $25 price and figured I should pull the trigger.

post your latest differential fluid change

Did another gear oil change at 2620mi, last one at 899mi as mentioned in my last post. Same fluid as before, HPL Differential Life 75W-140. PPE drain and fill magnets were covered in wear metals. The spots on the shop towels were sparkly. Gear oil in the drain pan sparkled like metallic paint...

LSJr tests and discusses DexosD babymax oils

From this thread: https://www.duramaxforum.com/threads/lm2-engine-oil-temp.1030787/ OP reached 250 degrees and was towing 1500lbs behind his truck. Another user reached 235 just driving.

The babymax generally runs between 250 to 260 degrees

My follow up question to that would be: what other data is there? There's a few critics of UOAs here, but aside from doing those, what are the options? Hooking up an engine to a dyno and plugging in monitors everywhere you can to track data in real time? If anything, I would take UOAs on an...

2026 Silverado 3.0 Duramax 1.4k mi; 10W-30 Amsoil Max Duty Diesel Oil 1k mi - used oil analysis

I have one more fill of 10W-30 Max Duty left. I'm going to be doing two more UOAs to get the trend going before I start using the AFL 5W-40. Not sure how helpful they'll be since I'm in the break in phase, but I'd like to see what I end up with at the 5k mark.

He's more than happy to take calls and emails if you want to ask him something. If you contact him, I'd definitely be interested in what he has to say if you could post it.

The euro AFL is dexos 2, ACEA C3, BMW LL04, and MB229.51 rated. I wanted to try it because I liked the what the PDS said for it's low noack, good viscosity index, and it's 4.1 HTHS. I figured why not for going up to a 40 grade.

I'm curious about the delvac esp line, I've seen it mentioned before in the baby max group I look at on Facebook as well. I'll give it a try after I finish the 2 Amsoil AFL oil changes I have waiting.

Awesome to see a video exclusively for the babymax. I'll be switching to 5W-40 my next oil change, I have some Amsoil euro AFL waiting. Mobil really did a good job with the ESP and delvac line. PAO for off the shelf prices and good add packs.

The effects of 5W30 through small passages

Didn't watch the video, but I'm sure it's already been said, oil gets pushed through clearances as small as 0.0015". Those "small" oil passages don't matter. Even 0W-8 is thicker at startup/ambient temps than a 20W-50 is at operating temperature. If the passage size was a problem, no oil would...

Right to Repair - Ford’s Jim Farley

Oh, I thought they were brothers. They looked similar, so I assumed.. Dead comedian's cousin. I guess we should just changed the name of Ford to Callahan.
